Steven Hall Southeastern has had one bad game against Reids Adena team but 613- 40 reids got almost tht many carries in a game and Steven averages 15.33 yrds per carry
Re: Top rushers in SE Ohio?
Hands down #38 Klay Arthur of Jackson. He will more than likely end his season with over 1,500 rushing yards

For his first year in the backfield, and to be splitting carries with another RB, I'd say Adam Rossiter of Caldwell's numbers are pretty good.
94 attempts, 784 yards, 8.3 YPC, with 12 TD's. Those stats are from the local paper, and he is tops in the area in every category, except for attempts.

#38Klay shares rushes with #7Drew Ervin who also has over 700 rushing yards. He still has over 1100 rushi9ng yards. You also gotta look at what teams these other tailbacks go up against. Klay goes against hard defences and still has about 9yards per carry.

There is only two defenses Jackson has went up against this year and that would be Ironton and Wellston. So that throws your theory out the window.

Im picking Weston Hale in this one....great player..set a record against SV last week...Ryan Bradford from ND is also a decent back

Location: Oak Hill I know this is just high school and most teams would not keep track of this but I wonder how many yards after contact (YAC) Westen Hale has.
I would venture to say that he has double what everyone else does. He is the hardest runner I have seen.

Re: Top rushers in SE Ohio?
you guys keep bringing up other rushers and that takes away from players getting yards, but obviously you have forgotten who Oak Hill's quarterback is.
I would be intested in hearing from some Wellston people and players as to who was harder to bring down b/t the Jackson backs and Hale.

Re: Top rushers in SE Ohio?
jackson also has a quarterback.. something like 700 yrds passing and 300 yrd rushing.... you can only get so many yrds.. i like to look at yards per carry.. don't missunderstand i think both backs are great no question.
Re: Top rushers in SE Ohio?
Nothing against Hale by any means, because he is a great back. You can't really say that Oak Hill has played the toughest defenses either. Burg's defense has been good since the Oak Hill game, but Minford has given up 29 PPG in their 3 league games so far and they shut out Oak Hill and Symes Valley has a good 7-1 record, but their opponents overall record is 22-42.UpOnTheHill wrote:There is only two defenses Jackson has went up against this year and that would be Ironton and Wellston. Re: Top rushers in SE Ohio?
I don't think this is a "my running back is better than your running back" type thread. How about we just compliment the good ones we have seen instead of slamming one while praising another?

Here is the rivals.com page on Wasonga from Parkersburg. Offered by West Virginia, Penn St., Tennessee, Pitt, Syracuse and others. If you haven't seen him play you definitely need to.WaitTillNextYear wrote:Do any of the kids mentioned have any offers?

Re: Top rushers in SE Ohio?
I'm pretty sure that Schankweiler from Wheelersburg just made a huge statement tonight, by rushing for 334 yards and (I believe) 5 TD's (1 of the TD's was on a fumble that he recovered in mid-air and returned for a TD) in the Pirates 42-20 win at Valley. I believe they said he had 32 carries.
