Re: Top rushers in SE Ohio?
Westen Hale had 244yds and 3tds tonight against New Richmond. That puts him over 1500yds for the year and 23tds.

I believe Brandon Schankweiler of Wheelersburg now has 1,366 yards on the season according to what the PDT's had listed in last Fridays edition plus what he got against Valley. I believe he is averaging right at 10 yards per carry. Plus I think he has another 350 to 400 yards recieving.

Who does Oak Hill play? Last time I checked you guys had it easyUpOnTheHill wrote:There is only two defenses Jackson has went up against this year and that would be Ironton and Wellston. So that throws your theory out the window.

Good point. Thats what I was trying to input4th n Goal wrote:Nothing against Hale by any means, because he is a great back. You can't really say that Oak Hill has played the toughest defenses either. Burg's defense has been good since the Oak Hill game, but Minford has given up 29 PPG in their 3 league games so far and they shut out Oak Hill and Symes Valley has a good 7-1 record, but their opponents overall record is 22-42.UpOnTheHill wrote:There is only two defenses Jackson has went up against this year and that would be Ironton and Wellston. I love how people can keep bringing up the Ironmen's first and only loss this season. It was a wildcard game and if you haven't noticied the Ironmen have stepped up and learned their lesson. I see a totally different team than that played that fateful night. I'd love to see Oak Hill step and play but they got it easy.MightyOaksFan wrote:you guys keep bringing up other rushers and that takes away from players getting yards, but obviously you have forgotten who Oak Hill's quarterback is.
I would be intested in hearing from some Wellston people and players as to who was harder to bring down b/t the Jackson backs and Hale.

if i remember correctly... was'nt Wellstons Prator out for that game and he is one of their best taklers so even this is not a good comparison..

Looks like we have a lot of good ones.... the Wasonga kid mentioned above is clearly on another level, but he's in WV.
No way to say who is best... but a good gauge will be playoffs... who will take their team furthest.
Let's enjoy the shows they are putting on, just a few weeks left.

If running for 244 yards against a 7-2 Div. 3 team isn't good enough for you guys then I don't know what is. Cut the kid some slack, will ya? I guarantee NONE of you have done that. And if you have, great, he also went for 348 the week before.UpOnTheHill wrote:Westen Hale had 244yds and 3tds tonight against New Richmond. That puts him over 1500yds for the year and 23tds.

Brandon Schankweiler (carries) 142 (yards) 1371 (TD's) 19 (ypc) 9.7
16 receptions, for 346 yards, and 3 td's
on kick return 4 returns for 182 with a 45.5 average and 2 TD's
1 fumble returned 55 yards for a score.
... pretty impressive

shank is not track fast. I saw a 12.0 in the hundred for him last yr during track. He is football fast, not many faster than him on the football feild.LetsGoPSU wrote:Anyone know Schankweiler,s 40 time? Those numbers are very nice
