S.E.O.A.L. 2010-2011
The 2010-2011 season is close thoughts on the upcoming season and good luck to all teams

I know that the Gallia program is a benchmark for the Ironmen program. I bet the bluedevils get extra support from their AD this year!

I think Logan won the Middle school championship last year--just wondering if any of these guys will stepup and be starters

Gallia should be pretty good again this year key losses are Kyle Bays Chris MCdermitt and Jared Gravely. Gravely and MCdermitt alone combined for over 80 wins last season and Bays returned after a injury filled senior year to be league champ.Top returners for the Blue Devils this year are Matt Watts, Ben Saunders, Brandon Taylor ,Zack Tackett with some good freshmen coming in and last years reserves coming in after wrrestling behind the 3 mentioned above Gallia should make another run at the title good luck to everyone this season.

Some of Logan's Freshman will get the chance to start this season, but it's too early to tell who and where. If anybody wants to get an early look at the Chieftains, they will be wrestling in a preview on Nov. 26th @ New Lex. Wrestling starts at 5:00. Teams attending are Athens, Lancaster, Logan, and of course New Lex. I believe all four teams are also bringing their Jr. Highs. It will be a great way for wrestling fans in the southeast to stay away from Black Friday and get a preview of four quality teams.

Warren will have a few in the hunt, but from early outlook, they will not, as a team offer much of a challenge again this season. Some from last years team not out, one bad knees, etc., etc., etc.

Marietta will Host. Format will be Individual round robin. This is the way it should of been last year. No seeding meeting no moving wrestlers no games.

Re: S.E.O.A.L. 2010-2011
Not really sure how that will work? That is a minimum 5 matches per weight class if every team has that weight covered. What if there are wrestlers with the same record after their 5 matches? Great idea, just wandering how it would work. I don't like seedings at the league match so I like that. Can they wrestle 5 matches in one day?
Re: S.E.O.A.L. 2010-2011
They are allowed up to five matches in one day. If two wrestlers have the same record at the end of the day, head-to-head is the first tie breaker, and only on needed. If there is a three way tie. There is a list of criteria to break the tie. I can post those after touching base with Marietta's coach and verifying they are correctcamnott wrote:Not really sure how that will work? I like the idea not enough kids for a bracket tourney anyways just depends on how it is scoredschenk11 wrote:They are allowed up to five matches in one day. Tie Breaker Crietion
The wrestler who…
1. won the most matches.
2. won head-to-head
3. accumulated the most number of team points.
4. penalized the least number of team points for flagrant or unsportsmanlike conduct.
5. accumulated the greater number of points for falls, defaults, forfeits, or DQ’s
6. accumulated the greater number of tech fall points.
7. accumulated the greater number of points from major decisions.
8. accumulated the greater number of points from near falls.
9. accumulated the greater number of takedowns.
10. accumulated the greater number of reversals.
11. accumulated the greater number of escapes.
12. whose opponent has been penalized more often for stalling.
13. whose opponent has been warned more often for stalling.
14. whose opponent has the greater number of points for all other infractions.
15. coin flip.
(subject to change, but gives you an idea)
