Waterford by however many they want and Symmes Valley by even more to end the season next week. Tough way to end the year for the Rebels with three straight beatings but I'm sure Coach Peck will take the lumps now and improve for next year. Rebels will be much improved next year with basically the whole team returning. Could be a good year in Mercerville next year.

Good Luck finding playing time there. Gallia is loaded and from what I hear will be very deep.bluedevil wrote:except jacob white might be going to gallia academy next year

Gallipolis loses alot to graduation this year but they will return some good backs next year. Jacob has played with the kids on the team before and idk if any of the kids at Gallipolis have the combination of strength and speed along with his size that Jacob would offer. Under Coach Eddy, Jacob could be dominate unlike anyone since Andy Howard at GAHS.

he said he was thinking of transfering im not sure he is.......im sure he will get to play there with coach eddy he is a smart coach and plays alot of players,he knows how to get the most out of his players unlike coach peck

I have been to one South Gallia game this year and that was Sciotoville East. I don't know what number he is or anything and don't even know the kid, I have seen him but don't know him. On that note, when I went to that game nobody stood out to me that would make me even come close to comparing anyone to Andy Howard. Howard was and is the best player ever to come out of Gallipolis and was a man amongst children and still is. He had a full ride scholarship to Miami of Ohio and would have been a very good player if not for a shoulder injury.JChipwood wrote:Gallipolis loses alot to graduation this year but they will return some good backs next year. So with that, I would wait to make the remark about saying he could possibly be the next Andy Howard. I would shoot for the Simmons brothers, Bobby Jones, Donnie Johnson, etc. first before Howard. Like I said, I don't know the boy and wish him all the luck in the world.
And what is his speed? I think I seen on here where someone said he runs a 4.6! I find it hard to believe there is a kid at SG that runs that fast and is not being used. I don't care who the coach is, if your that fast in DVI football you're going to play, especially around here. I have only seen two kids run legit 4.6s this year and one kid in this county and that is Wilson at Gallia and you see what he is doing to teams. The other was the #2 ranked Fullback in the US before his injury and that was Pendleton from Portsmouth West. Once again, I'm not saying he don't, it's just hard to believe if he is that fast he don't play. Sometimes people don't know what 4.6 speed is until they see it.
Re: Week 9, TVC HOCKING; Waterford @ South Gallia
jacob didnt stand out cause sg has the worst offensive line ive ever seen and he does run a 4.64 i timed him myself and he benches over 300 not bad for a 15 year old
Re: Week 9, TVC HOCKING; Waterford @ South Gallia
Wow, first off he is a freshman and at this point is ahead of where any of those guys were during their freshman year. Idk his exact speed right now but saw him run 4 straight 40's under 4.9 in the sixth grade the fastest at 4.74, since then he has grown to about 190 lbs and close to 6 foot tall and is built about like Jared Golden from GAHS. I've not seen a frosh as physically gifted in our area or on any team we have played. I am sure that being a frosh and missing the past 2 years of pt for different reasons has created a large learning curve but he does play varsity ball for SG and I think he wears number 32 but I could be wrong on that one.
I do know that he is as fast as TP from West but could not tell you if that is 4.6 speed or not, remember DJ ran a 4.6. Besides if TP ran a 4.6 he would not be recruited to play fb, check out rivals and see some of the speeds for those backs, very few are under 4.6 and the ones that are have 4 and 5 stars beside their names.

oh yeah, he is 15 years old so give him time. Those other guys you mentioned were still playing with kids their own age at 15 and none were as physical as Jacob even into their junior years of hs. Hopefully he comes to GA next year, he and coach Eddy would be a good duo and he would be back where he got his start.

Re: Week 9, TVC HOCKING; Waterford @ South Gallia
It says Pendleton runs a 4.62. I'm sure that is electronically timed and not timed by hand like I'm sure White was timed. There is a HUGE difference there. And how do you know he is as fast as Pendleton? Have they been to a combine together or something? If they have and he beat Pendleton, this kid should be a beast.
If you run under a 4.6 your gonna have 4-5 stars beside your name, that's because you are a burner. There isnt many players in the SEC that run under a 4.5 and it has the best athletes in college football. I have been to the State Championships and have seen few players run a 4.6 and never seen anyone in DVI do it so that's why I say it's hard to believe he is that fast yet not getting any playing time at SG.
I would also be willing to bet Howard was as physical as him as a Junior. I haven't seen this boy run but I would be willing to bet electronically timed he runs no faster than a 4.8.

either way without him next season sg will be lucky to win 2 or 3 games cause he is there best defender (14 tackles vs wahama)

I watched SG play once and there wasn't anyone I would compare to Andy Howard.
