I wish the kid all the luck in the world but seriously, it's unfair to him to be compared to some of the names above. Andy Howard really?????????? You are talking about not only the best player in GA history (in my opinion), but one of the best in this part of the state. Pendleton from Pmouth West (which according to rivals the #2 FB in the US), dude has more offers coming his way than most kids in SE Ohio combined. And as for not having a line to run behind, if the kid is as much a beast as advertised above, he would rack up all the yds he wanted against the TVC D6 teams he plays.

I wasn't scheduled to show up so i made it and I also made it to some of the games Andy played in way back in the day. I am not taking anything away from this kid, he might have not even played the game I was at, but I do know Andy Howard was real good.

There is no way in h*** he runs a 4.6. I have been to 4 of the games so far and I did not see him catching the people with break away scoring runs or him breaking free for any long runs himself that showed him having 4.6 speed. If he has that speed and power combined he should be about to score about every other time he touches the ball if he has much of a line or not. This is also no where near the worst line that SG has had and them running backs gained credible yards every game.

I'm sure Coach Peck will find someone to fill his spot if the young man decides to move on to GA. I mean that's not much worse than they are doing this year with him on the team so I think they will be fine. The Rebels are set up for a good year with him or without him next season. But, I hope he really thinks about his decision and looks at the big pocture because once he leaves he would have to sit out a year if he decided to come back to SG per OHSAA rule.bluedevil wrote:either way without him next season sg will be lucky to win 2 or 3 games cause he is there best defender (14 tackles vs wahama)

He should go to a college football camp and get the laser 40 yard time that he runs and then someone can post it with that on here and I would think it would be more reliable for all of us to talk about on here.

Very true and in my opinion if he is going to transfer back to GA he should do that after next season to make sure he can get enough playing time because I am sure it is more of a task to get playing time at GA then at SGmercerville monster wrote:I'm sure Coach Peck will find someone to fill his spot if the young man decides to move on to GA. If he is this good and puts up these kind of numbers he should go to a combine so these college recruiters can see him and he can get his college paid for.BRUTUS IS A BEAST wrote:He should go to a college football camp and get the laser 40 yard time that he runs and then someone can post it with that on here and I would think it would be more reliable for all of us to talk about on here.

That's a real good way to practice. If I was a lineman I wouldn't block for a guy that only goes all out sometimes. Do you think the guys you all are comparing him to never ran full speed in practice?he never runs full speed at practice ...i do have my facts straight he benched 315 at the wellness center in point i know this cause i spotted him

If he does leave, good luck to him. If I was him I would talk to Butch Marnhout before that move. If you don't know him, he played at Southern for a few years and then transferred to GA. He ran somewhere between a 4.6-4.8 and seen the field for about that many seconds at GA as well as a RB who thought he was good enough to go to GA.

Re: Week 9, TVC HOCKING; Waterford @ South Gallia
Wow, my whole point was that as a frosh, he is above any of the guys mentioned on here. And of course as a junior Andy was above where Jacob is as a frosh. I hope he comes to GA and gets in a program that provides motivation to work hard both during the season and in the off season. I'll let the coaches decide where he is strongest on the field, rb or defense. Kid is tough especially for a frosh that missed the past 2 years, he is jumping from midget league to varsity in terms of experience, that is huge! Physically, he is above anyone I have seen in this area as a frosh! I am not as old as some (bball) to have seen and played with the Neal's and some of those guys from that era, I know they were studs, including bball. With that said............no frosh will have a huge impact on the varsity game. He has 2 cousins that are studs also and very physical players that will be seniors next year so who knows what will happen.

The kid is good for a freshman. But I wouldnt even compare him to the good backs that came out of SG, like Curt Waugh, Dewey Cantrell, Ricky Clary, Jake Workman, Derrick Beaver, Bernie Fulks. All those guys I just named had to earn their respect at SG and all turned out to be very good backs. Also out of those guys Bernie Fulks was the fastest and I know for a fact that Jacob is not as fast as Bernie ever was.

It is WAAAAAAY too early to say how good this youg freshman is -- or will be -- as a football player.
He is being compared to some very good players. Let's just wait and see...
