Re: TVC-Ohio Championship: Athens @ Nelsonville-York
Woah. Did someone really just mention NY going into the hocking division? The chances of Athens beating NY this year are higher than that happening. LOW. Although I think it is great Athens is in our league. It's great for the kids to get to compete with a school a town away, and the game actually mean something to both schools. It's also great for the community. I'm sure the gate will be huge Friday night. If you ask me, I think letting the kids compete in games like this with no chance of making the playoffs is way more important than having a losing record regularly with a small chance to make the playoffs. And who knows, maybe Athens can get in the playoffs one of these years competing in the TVC. Also, as an NY faithful and knowing Athens will get more wins in the TVC and we will beat them the majority of the time, it means more playoff points for us. GREAT MOVE.
BTW, if is ever going to be brought up at a league meeting about NY entering the Hocking division, let me know. I want to see what Coach Boston does...haha

Let's get back to the subject at hand, and back to REALITY!!!! This has been nothing but a pissing contest on here today, which serves no purpose. Having seen both teams (NY twice, Athens once), I have my opinion on the outcome, which I've previously expressed.
Any discussion of NY going to the Hocking is absolutely silly, and is bordering on assinine. Compare NY's schedule this year, and compare Athens. NY has played a much tougher schedule. I went on record on another thread that I considered them to be one of the teams that may have committed scheduling "suicide" this year (credit to my friend Fuzzhead, for that catch phase, I love it!!!). They win week 10, AD Dave Boston looks really smart (except St. C, you will always get your arse kicked playing a big team up that way. If Martins Ferry calls, don't schedule them, LOL!).
I'll be in the crowd Friday, taking this one in with my friend O&B. Should be a great game. Good luck to both teams. Play hard and injury free. See everyone at the game!

Spartan, sounds like sour grapes, I am sure they will pose more of a challenge than your team did last week. GO BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: TVC-Ohio Championship: Athens @ Nelsonville-York
No sour grapes, I am not an Alexander fan, but a rabid Bulldog fan. I was yawning because Boiler talking about big fish in small pond is overdone and a sleeper.
Go Bulldogs
