Another place to park is at Grace United Methodist Church. Good size parking lot between 2nd and 3rd Avenues and normally not even half full on Friday nights. Plus it's only about a 3 block walk to Memorial Field. See you all Friday night!!!

For Jackson, Winchester had three catches for 48 yards and a touchdown. Ervin had two receptions for six yards and Johnson one for nine yards. Wandling was seven of nine passes for 62 yards and a touchdown.

Jackson had 18 first downs, Gallipolis 13. Jackson ran 52 plays and gained 252 total yards. Gallipolis ran 50 plays for 246 total yards. Return yards favored GAHS, 96-40. GAHS fumbled three times and lost two. Jackson fumbled twice and lost none. GAHS was penalized five times for 40 yards, Jackson five times for 37 yards. Nope! Was just 26. GAHS Hall of Famer, now Atty. Bill Conley, ran a Jackson punt back about 60 yards late in the second half to clinch the win for GAHS. Jackson led 14-0 at halftime.

Final score was GAHS 21, Jackson 14

Senior tackle was tonight for the Ironmen. In preparation for the natural grass (or dirt/mud) at Memorial Field, Jackson has been practicing at the old football stadium this week. It was fun to see Senior tackle take place at the old home of the Ironmen...back where it all started for many of these seniors in their younger days. Coach Hall's comments about each of the Jackson seniors really put the character and determination of this group into perspective. They've accomplished a lot as individuals, and more importantly, as a team. One more obstacle left to conquer on Friday night.

Man, i can't describe how much I'm looking forward to this game on Friday Night. The week always seemed to fly by when I played this game, it seemed like there was never enough time to prepare for the Blue Devils. Now that I don't play this game though, it seems like Friday is never going to roll around. It's going to be one hell of a contest. Good, 'ole fashioned, hard-hitting football. Where would you rather be this Friday night? I can't think of any other place aside from the field!

Give 'em Hell Ironmen!

I'm wondering if this is the biggest game on Memorial Field since the Sheridan playoff game back in 2005 with the infamous double reverse pass in OT. I can't think of any bigger than this in the past 5 years.
