Waverly Tigers @ Northwest Mohawks
Re: Waverly Tigers @ Northwest Mohawks
Good luck to both teams. A win by the Mohawks of course would benefit most SOC2 teams for the playoffs. Just get a good game plan going and give ur kids something to talk about for 12 months. Make it a really good contested game. Pls NW win! LOL! Burg needs the points.
Re: Waverly Tigers @ Northwest Mohawks
Can someone send me txt updates on this game??? It would be greatly appreciated!
Re: Waverly Tigers @ Northwest Mohawks
Actually a win by Waverly benefits SOC2 teams more. Waverly is D3 while Northwest is D4. Each team vying for the playoffs would get more 2nd level points from a Waverly win.
Re: Waverly Tigers @ Northwest Mohawks
I'm pulling for NW in this one - a win would help my SOC I Vikings with points. We're looking for any and all help this weekend to secure a first round playoff game at home and avoid a 4 hr+ drive.

Does Waverly have anything left in the tank to avoid an 0-10 season??

Re: Waverly Tigers @ Northwest Mohawks
no smurray you would get 4.5 points if waverly won and 5 points if northwest won
Re: Waverly Tigers @ Northwest Mohawks
s.v.vikinglinex2, why is that?
Burg, Valley, West, Minford would get D3 second level points with a Waverly win and D4 second level points with a Northwest win.

Would love to see northwest win, but as long as waverly is prepared they win by as much as they want
Re: Waverly Tigers @ Northwest Mohawks
score? Jackson needs a Waverly win for a good shot at a first round playoff game at home.
***providing Jackson can hold their 14-7 lead at the half @ Gallia Academy

I think 99.3 just gave it as 14-0 Waverly, but I'm not 100% sure.
Re: Waverly Tigers @ Northwest Mohawks
22-13 halftime, Waverly self destructed late in the 2nd.
Northwest scored under a minute to go to go up 14-13. Waverly had the ball at midfield with under 30 seconds to play in the half. For some reason the freshman QB was in and fumbled the snap. Northwest picked it up and ran it in for 6. They made the 2 point conversion after a roughing the kicker on the PAT for the 22-13 lead.

Congratulations to the Mohawk football team on a SOC-II win! Good way for the seniors to go out! At least the winter will not be as long with a season ending victory. Once in a while it is good to be wrong, you proved me that way last night!
To the Waverly Tigers, you guys never quit, just made some mistakes that a young team at times will make. I'm pretty sure you guys will be back next year much improved with the lessons learned from this season.
