maxpreps.com is the worst place to check. They need to update their teams. They still have Jackson's old coach listed as head coach.old*rocket wrote:http://www.maxpreps.com/high-schools/RE ... l/home.htm

For Eaton fans wondering about Jacksons roster I have been to every game this season and this is the Ironmens lineup. (Jackson fans point out if I have any mistakes)
Offense
QB - Drew Ervin #7 Jr. (was starting RB) 6'0 220
RB - Derrick Meredith #27 Sr. 6'0 185
FB - Klay Arthur #38 Sr. 6'2 215
WR - Tyson McNelly #22 Jr. 6'0 170
TE - Tyler Jeffers #32 Jr. 5'11 250
O line - Bubba Landrum #71 Sr. 6'1 315
Austin Landrum #73 Sr. 6'0 310
Coleman Kearns #65 Sr. 6'0 255
Ryan Speakman #62 Sr. 6'0 285
David Fouty #55 Sr. 6'4 240
and Traye Valentine #63 Sr. 6'1 260 also plays a lot.
Depending on what type of offense we run the other players in and out are
Morgan Landrum #12 Soph. 5'10 185 plays RB/FB
Alec Osborne #5 Soph. 5'7 150 Slot WR
Britton Johnson and AaronCostilow both seniors and around 6'3 180 play WR some

On defense Jackson does a great job switching in and out keeping fresh legs in. It depends on what type of offense they are playing also so it changes by the week.
Defensive players I notice that are usually in are
Klay Arthur LB
Morgan Landrum LB
Drew Ervin OLB
Dylan Bentley DE
Derrick Meredith Safety
Alec Osborne Corner
Tyson McNelly Corner
And O.J. Barr (in my oppinion the MOST underrated player on this Jackson team) this kid plays HARD. Not the biggest by one of the most aggressive. I love to watch this kid play.

Wow, the O-line is big.
I saw on youtube that Arthur was 5' 11" 204 at a March combine..
Has he grown since March ?
Are the heights and weights overstated ?

Yodiak most of those are random guesses and I see them with the pads on. The offensive line is not that tall but yes they are big boys. And Klad may not be 6'2 but he is at least 6. The boy can dunk a basketball off the backboard easily, maybe that is why he seemed 6'2 lol. Drew and Klay are both the biggest backs I've seen play this year but yet still very explosive and fast
Re: D3 R12 #5 Jackson (9-1) @ #4 Eaton (10-0)
They are some big backs. Ervin especially looks big and very fast.. This will be a good test for our defense...

Re: D3 R12 #5 Jackson (9-1) @ #4 Eaton (10-0)
Does Eaton have any really fast kids that are good in the open field or kick returners? If so that could hurt Jackson. Seems like they have struggled with that most this season.
And all of this information really doesn't matter once the game starts. Whoever shows up ready to play and plays hard will win. Both teams seem very even. Its just hard to judge never seeing them play or the teams on their schedule.

Re: D3 R12 #5 Jackson (9-1) @ #4 Eaton (10-0)
Yes, you are right.. All of this we are talking about can be seen via films and whoever plays better will win...
Eaton has a couple of good returners. Wilson, French and Woods are all very fast and quick. French has a lot of straight away speed where Wilson and Woods have speed plus some shiftiness... I am hoping Jackson only kicks off once on Saturday.. !!!
Yes, both teams seem even, but very different... Eaton's offense if very balanced. We take what the defense gives us. The coaches have been very good this year about adapting the game plan once the game starts. If they see 7 people in the box, then they start throwing more. French is a very good QB. He has improved each and every game this year. He knows the offense very well and knows where his receivers are going to be. The o-line does a good job of pass blocking. They have good size and are smart and can move.. The Eaon d-line is also big and quick. They don't have the size of your o-line, but they are quick and smart as well. The LBs are not big but they are fast and will fly around and have no fear. The DBs are very fast and support the run well.
I don't know much about Jackson's defense, but the Jackson offense looks good. Eaton will have to make contact at the line of scrimmage with the RBs so they don't get going down hill... It seems to be a very good match up.

Is he really going to play QB and be on D....I would think that they would limit his play somewhat....
