hale is probably the best back around right now, but 300 yrd's ? i don't think so. I think the oaks will win but i think it might be a close game.

IF Minford and Oak Hill both win, I would think they would play each other at Jackson. That would be a neutral site with very even mileage for the two schools. Does anyone know if Jackson put in for being a playoff host?
Good luck to the Oaks, hopefully we can talk next weekend about a Oaks/Falcons rematch in Jackson's stadium!

My thoughts exactly. There should be some tailgating action.crazee-oakaholic wrote:Ok what time is everyone tailgating?

I'm sure SV didn't think he would run for 350 yards either! You have to stop Hale or he will punish you! Badly!bilco2 wrote:hale is probably the best back around right now, but 300 yrd's ? i don't think so. I think the oaks will win but i think it might be a close game.

I was wondering the same thing. We might as well start around 7am! Have breakfast and lunch with cornhole in between!crazee-oakaholic wrote:I am definitely tailgating...just wandering what time others were starting..

If Jackson wins there won't be anyone to work the gate or concessions because they will be at the Jackson game, so the game can't be held at Jackson if they win.

Jackson will not host a game on Saturday if they win. The state does not place games at a school on the same night their football team is playing elsewhere.

All depends on who wins those games, and which schools put in to host playoff games. There is a lot of possibilities but only if schools actually put in to host games. Some schools are just not interested to hosting. It takes a lot of people willing to work to host and the school makes money off of concessions and parking (if they choose to charge) but they don't get any of the gate sales. Some schools just aren't interested.

If Jackson wins and Oak hill and Minford both win then it would prob. be at Valley or Portsmouth
That is a far way off though.
Even though that I think Oak Hill got the best possible draw they could have gotten, I also believe that that can lead to a major let down if the Oaks think that it will be easy. They do have to do a lot more than just show up as many have stated. Last year Oak Hill dominated but it was only after they swung the momentum early in the game.
It kills me that I can't be at the game but will be rooting as hard as I can while on the highway heading back from a conference. Hoping for a big win so that I can watch a game next week.

I could be wrong, but in the past I think the state has allowed a school who is still in the playoffs to also host a game. The way I remember it, if the game falls on the same night that the host school is playing, they simply move the game to the other night. For example, if Minford and Oak Hill played at Jackson, and Jackson was playing on Saturday night, the Oak Hill-Minford game would be moved to Friday.
This may have only happened when there was no other host site that made sense. In this case, Valley or Portsmouth would probably be chosen in favor of Jackson. But if the OHSAA really wanted this game in Jackson, they could just move it to Friday. Maybe they don't do that anymore, though, since it creates an advantage/disadvantage of playing a day earlier/later than the rest of the teams in the region.
As was mentioned before, though, there's a lot of football to be played before anyone needs to think about this potential situation. Good luck to the Oaks on Saturday. Win one for Jackson County!
