Re: D6 R23 #5 Malvern @ #4 Symmes Valley
This is one of the better Symmes Valley teams I have seen in a while. Im picking them to advance to the next round.

Go Vikings!! Remember how bad it felt to drive that far and get spanked last year? Time to return the favor.
Re: D6 R23 #5 Malvern @ #4 Symmes Valley
Judging by scores, it doesn't look like Malvern is as good as last year. Hopefully SV can get the win. I still remember the excitement from their run back in 04.

Malvern is a very young team this year. They lost 14 seniors from last year and this year they only have 1 senior that starts on offense and 2 on defense, but this team has gotten much better as the year has went on. Symmes Valley will need to find a way to slow down the Hornet offense. 3 of the 4 Hornet receivers are 6'4 or taller and their QB has threw for over 2,000 yards and ran for over 1,000. He will probably be the 2nd best athlete Symmes Valley has seen this year. (I think Western Hale of Oak Hill was the best.) I look for this to be a very good game and by far the best 1 rd. match-up in Region 23.
Re: D6 R23 #5 Malvern @ #4 Symmes Valley
Malverns QB is the real deal, but if you get pressure on him he can make mistakes. IF SV does not get pressure on him it will be a long night for them. He will beat you with his arm or legs.

I noticed Symmes Valley lost to the only team that had a winning record, bad. It looks like a very weak schedule SV plays. Even though Malvern is young they have beaten some very good teams. I going with Malvern 35 SV 14.

That one team that SV lost to, beat alot of teams that bad this year. That is a VERY good team that finished #1 in their region in Div. 5, and beat the conference Champion in a medium size conference (OVC), as did SV, that team also beat the conference champion of the much larger SOC2 conference. The score to the SV vs Oak Hill game does not indicate what kind of game it really was. SV played them VERY close for the whole first half and should have been tied at the half, if not for a turnover. Oak Hill did take control in the second half though as SV wore down a little with a couple of starters on the bench with injuries.hornet-tnt wrote:I noticed Symmes Valley lost to the only team that had a winning record, bad. Don't just look at this teams schedule and just assume that they can't be good and played a weak schedule. I know both teams will be ready to play. I look for a very good game.
