This game depends on if the Bengals play as a team for the whole game. It would not hurt for the Bengals to try some trick plays like what the Browns used against the Pats. They need to do something to bring some excitement to the players. While not making turnovers. They could pull an upset but probably won't.

Big fumble on the opening kick-off. Steelers take advantage of it, and put 7 on the board. Could be a long game for the Bengals.

That roughing the passer penalty against Hamptom was pathetic. They're preaching about hitting high, so Hampton takles him low, and bam, gets a flagged for a clean tackle. Bring out the skirts.

The NFL talks about safety but at every stadium you have security watching up in the stands with thier backs turned to the game. Last night during the one TD the security guy was standing close to the endzone and got hit pretty hard. This is a safety fator for sercurity as well as the players. The security guys can easily be elsewhere as they can use camera's to view the crowd.

The call on Hamptom is the rule for hitting low on a QB. Just like when Palmer was taken out before the rule changed.

The Bengals finally played with some energy and excitement but that was only after they dug themselves a hole. Palmer did well but the one int was thrown directly at someone along with holding the ball to long at times. His problems tend to cancel out the good he does. Those problems people have talked about him having for a while. Steve Young said last night before the game he thinks that Palmer is mentally and physically wore out from everything that has gone since he has been a Bengal.

Why in the world would you throw it to a rookie on a last chance down when you have two Hall-of Famers on both sides of you? I love Carson but its time to look for another QB WhoDey nation.

Well, when you fumble the ball on opening kick off, on your 20. Its hard to get going. Palmer did good. But as they pointed out, the offensive line is not getting the job done. Palmer does not have any time. THE ONE line man that did real good was andre smith. hes coming around. crazy. Time to start thinking about next year.

The throw to Shipley he is sure hands but he was sandwiched between 2 players. Would have been a tough catch for anyone. It maybe that Shipley runs good routes and Palmer knows where he will be. TO was very close to where Shipley was also bringing in more defensive players. Some of the people who study game films say a big problem is TO and Chad do to much freelance so the QB has to guess where they are. That can be part of the problem with Palmer also.

Some of Palmer's sacks is because he holds the ball to long during a blitz. When they are bring more than the Bengals block. Yes the line is not the best but Palmer can throw the ball away some also. He did seem to throw the ball better without the lame duck passes.

Yeah dont get me wrong Shipley is a well rounded WR, he has very good hands and can get open. But if it were me and I had a 6'5 230 T.O. and Ocho on both sides of me you better believe the ball is goin to one of them two. My reasoning is either their goin to catch it, or 50% of the time theres a pass interference call on last chance downs. Not to mention that the D backs are over playing and that always lead to pass interference.

TO was cutting right behind Shipley when he dropped the ball. Part of the reason TO and Chad did not get the ball maybe because of their route running. To have 2 WR so close someone ran the wrong route. Maybe it was meant for TO and Palmer threw a bad pass.

The middle of the field is also good to go to a TE like Gresham. Shipley was doubled covered but he may have been the only one who Palmer thought he could complete it to. Or the best pass he could trust his arm.
