Best team ? Probably St. Eds. But Youngstown Ursuline, Mentor Lake Catholic and Cleveland Glenville are very ,very good. Tons of college players to be with Ohio St. getting lots of them.

Sorry but I got to get in this because I know for a fact that Alter recruits players/runners for sports. They tried to get two of my kids to run track and cross for them. I know one they got from Springfield Shawnee High School that became a state champion in the 800 a few years ago. Ohio needs to do the same thing South Carolina does and that is they have a playoff for Private schools and one for Public schools.

The 3 that come to mind are:
Ursuline
St. Edwards (who will out coach and beat Glenville in the Regional Finals)
Pickerington Central (Defense is lights out, will beat Hillard Davidson in the Regionals and Colerain in the Semi's).

I watched St Eds beat Glenville last night on STO. They controlled the line on both sides of the ball. They were also much more disciplined than Glenville. I do not have the skill/knowledge to venture a guess as to who is the best team in the state.

I watched Hilliard Davidson beat Springfield on a delayed broadcast. Hilliard Davidson's defense is exceptional. Based on their games this week I would pick St Eds over HD, but I do not have the ability to watch two separate games and pick a winner based on my observations. HD/Pick Central will be an interesting matchup this coming week.
