It has little if nothing to do with TCC being a private school. According to OHSAA enrollment figures TCC has around 40 girls compared to Waterford at 88. The Saints actually lost a player last year to the public school in our area who was All-Ohio as a Freshman and will probably be All-State this year as a sophomore.......no "recruiting" around these parts, we lose our kids to the public schools. Congrats to the Wildcats on a great season and their first trip back to Regionals in 15 yrs, they should be proud of their accomplishments.

Crashnburn, you are walking on the mild side here on SEOP VB. We have had a very quite year with little participation and no contraversy.

I am the one that said Waterford in 5 on the Huddle, yesterday. I never want TCC to be as good as you say they are coming into the regionals. Last year the Saints wore out DD's team, Eastern (Reedsville) and this year the TVC-Hocking champs, Waterford Wilcats. The Saints are very strong again this year.

Congratulations to the Wildcat team on their great season, league and district chammpionship!

LOL, a little controversy never hurt anyone. Might get boring if everyone here was rooting for the same team. :)

Looking forward to a great match on Saturday. During the Waterford match TCC had trouble adjusting to their offense, our blockers were WAY too early all night, resulting in lots of hits that popped up short off our block and our defenders were unable to get to them. Took the hitters a little while to adjust also. Waterford's defense played in towards the middle (left and right back didn't get out to the lines) so they were digging up hits that against many other teams would usually hit the floor. Hitters finally adjusted in the 2nd game.
There (of course) were a little bit of nerves, even though they may have seemed calm and confident (what waterford's coach said). With 3 freshman, 2 sophomores, 3 juniors and a senior among those seeing significant playing time, you are bound to have a little of that. I like to think they got that all out of their system and we will see their typical level of play, and Easterns, on Saturday which will make my 2 hr drive worthwhile. :)
