Beaver Eastern vs. TCC

Regional Final game Saturday, 2 pm @ Lancaster HS! A re-match of last years Regional Finals. Should be a great game to watch. Thoughts?

Should be a great match. I think it will definitely come down to who passes better. Both teams serve aggressively and both teams can hit the ball. Both have good setters, therefore I think it will be all about passing. With the tough serves, passing could be interesting.

I agree, It will come down to who has the passes to enable their team to run a good offense. Although TCC has a lot of experienced players, there is only 1 Senior playing (other is out with an ankle injury) and at times there are 3 freshman on the floor. If they can keep it together mentally, I'm pulling for TCC in 3. They have faced some tough competition this season so far.

Eastern also has a somewhat young team. They start 3 sophomores and the 4th sophomore plays front row! They have several seniors, but only 2 play, Rowe and Staker. I don't look for either team to win in 3. I think whoever wins will win in 4 or 5, but I am cheering for my eagles.

Great volleyball last night by each team. From what I can tell the SE Region tournament process worked very well in delivering these two teams to the championship match for the second year in a row.

Go Eagles! It is your year for a dream trip to the Nutter. Do what it takes to send the Saints home. My congratulations to both teams and best wishes for good, fun and safe VB to you both!

From what I heard, an Eastern parent overheard the TCC coach talking to parents saying that "their next game will be easy". This has the girls fired up and ready to play! Not the best comment to make for these girls to hear! No matter what, at this stage, no win will be easy. Go EAGLES! Send them home!

Hahah. Lets just say, I am very closely intertwined with the TCC coaching staff, and there is absolutely no way that any of our coaches said that. That is absolutely not the mindset of anyone involved in the program. I don't doubt that a clueless parent or fan could have said that, but saying one of our coaches said that is simply bulletin board material.

I should tell the Saints that the Eastern fans already booked their hotel rooms and bought their tickets for State.....

You are correct, at this stage, no win is easy and every point MUST be earned. I can say with absolute certainty that our girls believe this as well.

So true crashnburn. But like i said, thats just what i heard around. I honestly doubted any coach would say that no matter what level. Im just hoping for an exciting game! Both teams are great and prepared for a chance to move on to the big stage.

This game went down to the end. And I mean it. Game 5, 17-15 going to TCC after dropping the first set 23-25 I belive and the 4th set 21-25. (Scores may be iffy correct if I'm wrong)

What a match. Obviously equally matched teams. I would love to watch this game film.
Congrats to TCC on the second consecutive regional championship. Good luck at the nutter.
And a big congrats to Eastern on a great season. An amazing group of seniors you will be missed. But next season will be no different. Great game both teams.

Congrats to TCC. They played a good game.

Lady Eagles, we couldn't be any more prouder. A small town school trying to make a lifetime dream come true. You guys gave it your all and played til the VERY end. Literally.

Eastern could had won this game in 3 sets, but dropping late leads in games 2 and 3 hurt them. Then an 8-3 deficit to start set 5 didn't help. Buy way to play.

Good luck TCC! Represent our region well!

Amazing match!! Congrats to both teams. Eastern Eagles you are a great volleyball squad! In your loss, you tied an all time volleyball record today by losing a 5-set match by the absolute minimum amount of points. I am sure that is no consulation prize at all, but does show the amount of desire you had to win.

Congrats to TCC; hope you and your neighbors are able to bring a state titles home to Tuscarawus County and the Southeast Region.
