WOW Logan! You got Nelsonville York and Athens right there and the OHSAA passes them up for Logan. Genius thinking! Oh well its doesnt matter anyway just as long as we got a spot to put the ball in play the Tigers and their fans will be there.

It's official, now on the OHSAA site, for Logan. Pretty much equal distance for both, 84 miles for Ironton and 90 for Sparta.

What a crock. Like I've said before, I hate the way Ohio does playoffs.

Just the way it goes Ironton will be ready to play and that is all that matters.
you have two teams that far apart distance will and should be on both teams.

Ironton Fans....

I thought you'd find some of this interesting. At the Coshocton game, 3 scouts from Sparta Highland sat directly in front of me and it was entertaining to hear their thoughts on the game. They did not take one note on Coshocton even from the begining of the game, assuming they were confident that the Tigers would be moving on. They took down the usual notes (numbers on the special teams, offense and defense and formations). They acted almost surprised that Ironton ran out of the same set all the time (short memories from last year I guess). They seemed to be awfully confident that they could take advantage of the Left side of the Ironton Offensive line and took some notes on #75 and #78. The commented that whenever Wilkes was split they were throwing to him. The one gentlemen at one point, turned to the guy that was writing everything down and said "Be ready for the option" and "make sure our defense is set when the Tigers come to the ball" commenting on the quick count. I've not seen Sparta Highland play, but the scouts seemed to think their offensive line vs. the defensive line of Ironton was an advantage for them.

They stood up and left about halfway through the second quarter and left. As they were leaving, one of them said "I'm not Impressed".

I had to laugh, because if you would listen to them and not know where they were from, you would have guessed Colerain or St. Edwards. I think it would be safe to say they are scouting Heath and Hartley today.

I can assure you that Highland saw Ironton play before last Friday night. Those were Jr. high coaches you saw last Friday night. I know for a fact that they scouted Portsmouth West THREE WEEKS before the season was even over. I believe they were seen at the Minford-West game. These boys ain't no dummies and do plan ahead just a little.

I'd say that they are remiss if they HAVEN'T already scouted Heath and Hartley. I doubt they are already planning on hanging up their jocks after Friday night. :122249

My guess is that Heath is going to be a tough out.

Three things you can count on every year in Southeastern Ohio.

1. Hot days in the July
2. The leaves changing colors in October.
3. Ironton fans complaining about the location of their playoff site.

I don't think you will see many Tiger fans complaining about the location as many appreciate a good road trip...........and playing in week 12 makes it even that much better.....

so no complaints from the OBDTF.......just ice the coolers down and head north......

This game is being played exactly where it should be. At least Irontons played there before. Both teams travel an equal amount and will have no bearing on who wins. GO TIGERS. On to the regional final.

The Tigers and fans have traveled all over this state playing football. You just tell us where the game is going to be played and I can bet you half the town will be there. I can bet you one more thing, win or lose the Scots will know what river rat football is all about.

Go Tigers GO!

As a Heath fan I'm rooting for the Tigers. I think they have the top program in the region and it's a great challange to face them. Also, the H.C. is legendary and Ironton plays ball the right way ...hard nosed but very clean. They are respectul of the game.

What is your deal with West? Did you get your head bumped against us? Give it a rest already. We have a good team, and always compete. I sense a little jealousy. This is the Ironton Highland thread so go start a hate thread somewhere else so you can message yourself. With that said. Go Ironton....Buckle up tight, bare down, and hit em between the numbers. Hope to see you guys next week.

good to hear the tiger are coming back to LOGAN CHIEFTAIN stadium. equally good is that your the home team, get there early so you can get some of the reserve seats! it nice to be able to lean back and enjoy a good game. i know there will be a bunch of us from LOGAN out to watch. halfway between both schools, a great facility and great consession stands! home side seats 6ooo and vistors seats 2000.
good luck to both and
GO TIGERS!!
