victor creed wrote:the thing i noticed most about hartley is their star back runs pretty hard when he gets the ball however when he doesnt get the ball he takes about 3 steps and watches the play. i didnt see him block for the other backs all night. plus they probably ran to their right side about 85% of the time. i thought they were physical its just that ironton is probably as physical as anyone in the division. i am really curious to see how this game turns out. i am leaning towards heath just because they are well coached and overall team spead, however they will have to be as physical as hartley. should be a good one.

You are right. I noticed that too. He is not a team player. He is worried about his carries and thats about it.

And I still think he doesnt like to get hit.

Key will get hit....and I think he'll get hit many times in the backfield. If he breaks that initial hit ...it may be trouble but Heath's defense will swarm to the ball. I like how Heath's offense works this year. They have two 6'5 receivers that have great hands and Benner the QB has great touch on lob passes to these two. Plus including the QB, Heath has 3 players that average over 6.0 ypc. I think if Heath hits Key early and often and the Bulldogs jump on Hartley early it'll take his away " will to play".

Hartley has three backs(Key, Lane, Zang) that average more then 8 yards a carry

NewarkCatholicStud44 how long ago did you play? Because I don't remember any #44 player that was a stud.

Ok. I didn't start watching NC football until 1991. I married into the NC family ( a 1983 grad). My son graduated last year.

I just remembered Nate Adams was #44. IMO he would be classified a "stud".

My buddy at work played for hartleys state championship team, and all he does is talk up Hartley... I hope they get smacked.... Or I'll never here the end of it, until they play Ironton again...

Just ask him about how Ironton hit them until they were trying to find cover under the visitor's bleachers. That will shut him up! I was shocked how fast Hartley quit after a few big hits.

And that stud running back is one he!! of a blocker......not!

I would imagine the Hawks have a lot to be motivated about with all the insults thrown their way....I look for a motivate dHartley team to give the Tigers all they want....
