D6 R23 - #5 Malvern vs. #1 Shadyside at Steubenville

Post by mattash »

Should be a high scoring game. I would say 60 between the two

A lot offense. The Malvern QB is very good and think about this. He had over 2,000 yards passing and 1,000 rushing and this was done in Northeastern Ohio. I will take Malvern in this one from what I saw last Friday night.

I like Malvern, with their QB and tall receivers.

Shadyside - A ton of speed, and a defense that runs hard to the ball.

I'm going with Slim Shady in this one, Malvern, in my opinion, is being to0 revered on this forum after one game.

Look at the body of work, Shadyside has played a super tough schedule, Malvern, not so much. If you are basing your predictions on last week's game, do a little research and think again.

I was very impressed with the Malvern QB and receivers last Friday against what I thought was a very quick Symmes Valley team that is well coached. I could be wrong plus Shadyside plays very good football but I will still take Malvern. I have not seen Shadyside in person or on DVD so I might be slanted on my thinking but that was one of the best QB's I have seen in awhile on that night, but like you said a night does not make a season. Not one of the best QBs that I have seen but good.

I hope that you know that I respect your opinion, because you always keep it real....

Will be an interesting game, without a doubt. Shadyside's speed is completely different than SV, so we will have to wait and see how this plays out.

That being said, I'm still going to pick the Tigers in this one.

Truth is I would like to see Shadyside bring the win home. I did not look at the complete body of work so time will tell.

Isn't talking like this what this site is suppose to be about. I also have respect for your opinion too. You headed to the Malver-Shadyside game? I going to the closet game to home-crossing the big ditch and going to watch Point vs Ronan County.

Hard to believe that Malvern QB is a transfer from lil' ole Conotton Valley. Amazing that the kid's family moved to Malvern and with all that WR talent he adjusted just fine.

Wonder what the CV Rockets would've done had he stayed in Bowerston?

I think the fact the game is in Harding Stadium will play to Malvern's favor. They've beaten 3 good OVAC teams the last 3 years all at Death Valley (River, Bridgeport, Shadyside) and might do it again.

Shadyside will certainly have its hands full. I think Tigers win by the slimmest of margins.

I have not seen Shadyside play, but all I can say is that if Shadyside's QB is better than Malvern's, I sure hope Jim Tressel is recruiting him for OSU.

Malvern's QB, receivers, and good coaching takes them to regional finals.....
