Shoot GA May come into the TVC with RV and Jackson, Seems since Athens got in They are trying to bring the rest of the SEOAL in. Then it would be a league game..OLD CR at athens is working his magic
Re: Nelsonville-York 2011 schedule
Okay, we schedule a multiple time state champion in Newark catholic. Have scheduled a few former state champs, ironton and ready. Schedule div 2 Logan. I say let's stay away from gallia academy. We might lose that one.

I don't think NY would not schedule Gallia Academy for the reasons just mentioned. I also think it would be a good gate for both schools.
Speaking of an expanding TVC, I hear River Valley to the TVC is happening sooner rather than later.

I know Minford has Meigs now in week 4, but I think it's a one-and-one. Nelsonville and Minford have a short history but all have been good football games and I would like to see this series renewed. Maybe the for the 2012 season.

Yeah, because every team in southeastern Ohio wants to be part of the TVC.Green Beagle wrote:Shoot GA May come into the TVC with RV and Jackson, Seems since Athens got in They are trying to bring the rest of the SEOAL in. Then it would be a league game..OLD CR at athens is working his magic

Re: Nelsonville-York 2011 schedule
I just checked the updated list of open dates for week 4 in 2011 and one of the top programs in the state has an opening --- Steubenville.
WEEK FOUR Friday Sept. 16, 2011
V Youngstown Ursuline 09/22/2010
V Cleveland Knights (contact Melissa Martinez, 440-749-2127) 10/05/2010
V Cincinnati Elder 10/08/2010
V Massillon Washington 10/26/2010
V Raceland (KY), contact Bill Farley, [email protected] 10/28/2010
V/JV/F Cuyahoga Falls Walsh Jesuit 11/02/2010
V Nelsonville-York 11/05/2010
V Troy Christian 11/05/2010
V Cleveland John Hay 11/09/2010
V Steubenville 11/17/2010
Depending who else out there still needs a Week 4 game next year, I would have to say Steubenville is the most interesting to me so far on this list. That would be a memorable experience for the NY team to have a chance of playing the likes of Steubenville, regardless of the outcome of the game.

Re: Nelsonville-York 2011 schedule
I wish one of the old league rivals had an opening in week 4 - Jackson or Gallia Academy or Warren.
New Lexington, Crooksville, or Morgan would be great games as well, but those MVL teams only have 2 nonleague games each, so its hard to get them to match up to a certain week in any given year.
Fairfield Union, Fisher Catholic, Amanda Clearcreek, Bloom Carroll or Circleville from the MSL would be nice too if they had an opening.
I wish someone close had an opening, as it looks now, that is going to be a long travel week for NY or the team that might travel to Nelsonville.

Why would you say that?HONESTABE wrote:Ny is going to be awful next year
They bring back an experienced O and D line, There starting QB, tb, and there leading reciever. The bigest weakness was the secondary and it's only going to get better. Ny will win the Ohio again and should be in a great position to make the playoffs.

Why would N.Y. want to play Ironton every year. They cant even beat D6 powers like N.C. They not stand a chance vs Ironton.zebra77 wrote:With Ironton an independent again, some schedule manipulation may make for a good week 4 match-up.

Actually Ny had a great 2 game series with Ironton. I think that both teams would love to be able to play every year.G.W.A. wrote:Why would N.Y. want to play Ironton every year. You are right G.W.A Ny didn't beat NC last year but it was a heck of a game! What team do you root for again?

Re: Nelsonville-York 2011 schedule
Columbus Bishop Ready has added its name to the OHSAA website for open dates in week 4 in 2011. It would be fun to see these two mix it up again. I wonder if Ready would travel to Nelsonville two years in a row? NY needs a home game that week to have 5 home games.

I would think Ready would look elsewhere in the state first. I also see where Ursuline Out of Youngstown has an open date also. Many intriguing names.

Re: Nelsonville-York 2011 schedule
Who would want to play that tiny DV school Ursuline from Youngstown or wherever they're from. I thought that was an all girls school but now I remember years ago they went co-ed when they saw how much luck Mooney was having in football and it hasn't been the same since. The "state public vouchers" for the inner city kids sure go a long way in producing good sports teams at some institutions when they manipulate the system right.indianabuck wrote:I would think Ready would look elsewhere in the state first. Re: Nelsonville-York 2011 schedule
thats why you see schools like that having to travel across and out of state to play. Nobody wants to play them. You would think Stubenville-Ursuline would be a great game, but both are needing a game that week, and won't play each other.
