Re: Nelsonville-York 2011 schedule
I wonder if a home and home was offered if this would change things.

Re: Nelsonville-York 2011 schedule
how about giving wahama a call. I believe the white falcons would give NY a good game.
Re: Nelsonville-York 2011 schedule
Steubenville doesn't like to play Ohio teams. I think they lost to the three Ohio teams they played this year. How about Troy Christian? Get them in wrestling too. Now that would be a great match up right there!NYBuckeye96 wrote:I just checked the updated list of open dates for week 4 in 2011 and one of the top programs in the state has an opening --- Steubenville.
WEEK FOUR Friday Sept. 16, 2011
V Youngstown Ursuline 09/22/2010
V Cleveland Knights (contact Melissa Martinez, 440-749-2127) 10/05/2010
V Cincinnati Elder 10/08/2010
V Massillon Washington 10/26/2010
V Raceland (KY), contact Bill Farley, [email protected] 10/28/2010
V/JV/F Cuyahoga Falls Walsh Jesuit 11/02/2010
V Nelsonville-York 11/05/2010
V Troy Christian 11/05/2010
V Cleveland John Hay 11/09/2010
V Steubenville 11/17/2010
Depending who else out there still needs a Week 4 game next year, I would have to say Steubenville is the most interesting to me so far on this list. That would be a memorable experience for the NY team to have a chance of playing the likes of Steubenville, regardless of the outcome of the game.

I dont wanna play them snakeeaters......The omly thing worse would be hiring koondogger as a coach.....lol

Re: Nelsonville-York 2011 schedule
Wahama, like all TVC Hocking schools, only has 2 weeks to work with for non-league games. While this would be a great matchup, it would be unlikely to happen, as I'm sure Wahama has at least 2 WV rivals they want to play each year on their non-league schedule, whatever weeks those would be.
Wahama would have to have one of their 2 non-league openings in Week 4 AND would have to be willing to sacrafice a rivalry game in all liklihood with a WV team.
In theory, Wahama would be a great matchup for NY though.

This past year Wahama played their two non-league games at the end of the season. Not sure if they could manipulate their schedule to play NY but it would be a better game than playing Hannan.

Re: Nelsonville-York 2011 schedule
Well NY already plays D-6 Trimble(Rivalry) and they have D-6 Newark Catholic on there schedule..In the big scheme of things Ny isn't looking to add another D-6 school to there schedule.eaglesorfalcons wrote:Why?
You guys are state runners up and NY would have beat you by 2 T.D.'s at least... If NY wants to schedule more D-6 schools there are plenty of them in our area, and they wouldn't have to travel more than 30 minutes

They don't like to play on the road either! They play 6 to 8 home games a year.Heavy D wrote:Steubenville doesn't like to play Ohio teams. Re: Nelsonville-York 2011 schedule
Yes I believe they were. Trimble and Nelsonville-York are rivals so in most years that keeps the score close. Trimble plays it's hardest hitting gutsiest game of the year week 1 against NY. The truth is if Wahama and Trimble would have played week 8,9, or 10 this year then The outcome of the game would have been different. It wasn't played those weeks and the Cats took there loss and moved on..eaglesorfalcons wrote:beat wahama by 2 scores? wasnt wahama and NY scores against trimble exactly the same?

Re: Nelsonville-York 2011 schedule
you never know what is going to happen in a high school football game. I still believe this would be a good game but it will probably never happen.
Re: Nelsonville-York 2011 schedule
As a life time Trimble supporter I would first say this is not always true, as there were several years during the 90's when Trimble did not expect to win. Secondly, it is no different at Nelsonville. I know they like to say it is, but in reality it is not. More often than not each team gets the others best.Orange and Brown wrote:Yes I believe they were. Trimble and Nelsonville-York are rivals so in most years that keeps the score close. The TRUTH! YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!.......
Go ahead and rest easy thinking Trimble played it's best against you so you can feel good about beating a mediocre team 14-6. The truth is Wahama should have beaten them much worse in week 2. The truth is Wahama got better as the year went on just like everyone else does. The truth is that if the game were played later Wahama would have blown out Trimble. And, the truth is Trimble will lose AGAIN next year.

Maybe your WV team play a gravy schedule after the Trimble gameTitletown TVC wrote:Orange and Brown wrote:Yes I believe they were. Re: Nelsonville-York 2011 schedule
Please you guys play Hannon and Buffalo. Play a good team in your non-league then come back and tell us how we can't handle the truth. The truth is High school football in Ohio is a lot better than West Virginia. Handle that!!Titletown TVC wrote:Orange and Brown wrote:Yes I believe they were.
