No he wouldn't come down here. Us southern Ohio boys just aren't good enough for him.

IMHO the new coach wont be someone who was on the staff last year!

Buckeyefan4life.
Who are you thinking of?
Question here, would coach Dean want the job?
he has done a good job as OC but head coach carries many more responsiblities.
I think if they open this job up with the great facilities they have and tradition they would get many great applicants.

N.Y. should hire a coach from Trimble maybe then they could win a playoff game

Re: Nelsonville-York Football 2011
They better work hard to find a way to get coach back. If not they better keep the staff together with the same guy calling the plays. If they hire a coach he better be a Nelsonville-York guy that bleeds Orange and Brown. They tried hiring an outsider once and that didn't work out to well for them. Took an N-Y guy to get the program back on track. Any change will cause players to leave, and a losing season. The program will never survive if they try to bring someone new in.

The best thing that could happen now is to get Meade back on the sidelines. Anyone talked to him?
Re: Nelsonville-York Football 2011
Has this been verified yet? I have talked to two Board members separately about this and neither knew what I was talking about.
Re: Nelsonville-York Football 2011
Meade definitely won games, league titles, and made the playoffs. BUT I'm not sure he is the right guy, I belive NY dressed 29 football players by seasons end the last year he coached and those numbers are unacceptable at NY.PitStop Billy wrote:The best thing that could happen now is to get Meade back on the sidelines. Those 29 he dressed for the last game most likely deserved it! It's not his fault only 29 were dressed, all the fault is on the kids for being ineligible or any other reason they were out. My vote is with Meade, but I don't think he wants the job. JMO
Re: Nelsonville-York Football 2011
It is the job of the head coach to ensure all of the players are eligible. Also must teach the kids the right to live life! You guys are going to fool around and destroy a very good program!stoleit_2711 wrote:Those 29 he dressed for the last game most likely deserved it! How many kids got on the field when Boston coached?
My guess is less than 20 kids played any real minutes.
He never won a playoff game.
Kids were out of shape. You could see it on the BB court.
Kids did not tackle well. (They never practiced tackling)
Lets get the coaching search started!

I believe Coach Meade has a daughter who is very good at basketball and probably wants to be a parent want watch her play throughout high schol. I believe it will be someone from the outside who will take over the program.

Is it the coach who is getting the grades now? Is he the one taking the classes? It's all up to the students to make sure they do well in the class. The coach can only try to motivate them to do better.
