Re: Regional Final- Region 19 Oak Hill vs. Fredericktown
Definitely a shorter and easier drive for the Freddies. I'm sure the Oak Hill people would drive clear to Cleveland if need be to play in their first ever regional final, but once again the southeastern Ohio teams get the shaft by the OHSAA even though the Oaks finished as the #1 seed. Game should have been closer to the Oaks back yard and at Logan.
God luck to the Oaks!!!!

To get to Hamilton Township:
23 North through/past Chillicothe, Circleville, South Bloomfield. Pass Scioto Downs, pass a very large cemetery (can't remember the name). Turn Right on Rathmell Rd. (last road before you reach 270, you can kind of see 270 as you get to Rathmell). Stay on Rathmell for a few miles, the school will be on the right. It will be a good haul for Oak Hill.

No shaft on the distance... the last two years the higher seeded freddies have traveled 30 miles farther than the lower seeded pirates...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------thats not true burggrad we played at ny, two weeks in a row last year, 2nd and 3rd rounds.4th n Goal wrote:I don't think they ever let the same team play at the same location 2 weeks in a row. I would guess that Jackson and Nelsonville are both out of the question for this game, although they are both very nice facilities.MightyOaksFan wrote:I am hoping that the state just goes crazy and makes the game at Jackson. Wishfull thinking I know. I was guessing that the game would be in Logan.

How many seats does Nelsonville and Logan have? I was thinking Nelsonville was a little small for some reason. OakHill will bring 2500-3000 fans of their own. They almost filled the home side at Jackson last night.

Any player in a Regional title game who needs to read SEOPs posts to get pumped for a game shouldn't be playing. I would like to see the ol' Oaks win though.iwearblacknikes wrote:Good luck Oaks! Even though I would have liked to play closer to home I am fine with Hamilton township over Logan. hamilton township is a straight shot where as Logan you have the curves of 93 to deal with. I am use to the drive to Columbus though.
Oak Hill fans: Very easy to get there. Just make sure you turn before 270. Everyone should check out Ohio Deli on S High St. It was on Man vs. Food and it is excellent!

Does anyone know the seating capacity at Hamilton Township? I just checked it out on Google Maps, and while the photo there appears to have been taken while turf was being put down, there was seating already in place. If they haven't added more seats, the capacity would appear to be much less than Jackson.

around 4500 i would guess.went to playoff game there last year, cant say anything nice about the field. parking sucks, lighting sucks lights need to be higher, just make sure you eat before you get thier or you will starve waiting in line, but as bad as i hate that field i'll be thier for the oaks.
Re: Regional Final- Region 19 Oak Hill vs. Fredericktown
According to the Portsmouth Daily Times, Shears was 16/27 for 276 yards against the Freddies last night. Based on that stat, I would think Slone will need to pass for at least 400 for the Oaks to be in the game. I really don't think the Oaks will be able to have any running success against them either. I am hoping the SOC will be represented in the final 4, but I think that is a tall task. Good Luck Oaks!

It'll be an hour and a half drive in a car for Oaks fans.
At least you guys will get the home side to sit on.
