Portsmouth 8th grade girls should have a good year coming off a 12-4 record as 7th graders and earning a 2nd place in the Vinton County Junior High Tourney.

west and ND should be above average, West has several good players but I'm not sure whether a couple of them are now freshman .

ND hosted the winter sports "meet the teams" last night and the jr high has only 6 girls on it. number is way down but they have some good talent amongst the 6. MD

Portsmouth 8th grade girls earned their 2nd scrimmage win with a 1 point victory in 1 half on the road at Greenup County. A little sloppy but found a way

hiabuckeye...Little Hocking has one of the best defenders and fastest in junior high I ever have seen in Josey Riffle. I had the pleasure of coaching her in aau the past few years and if she can stay out of foul trouble they can hang with most teams.

LH squeaked by with a win Monday nite. Lang girl makes a big game ending 3. Gotta stay out of foul trouble.

Little Hocking coach always finds a way to pull it out.

LH got back in form last nite. Excellent free throw shooting. From an observation, oponent seemed confused by the multilple switching of defenses.

LH picks up another hard fought win. Defensive adjust by coach in the 4th period worked well.

I see on the schedule that LH travels to Fort Frye tonight. Is that correct and is game still on. I also understand Coach Liedtke may be in attendance to possibly learn/watch this young coach from LH.

Looks like LH is back on track with two recent wins. Next test will be Marietta Orange tonite. Not sure if it's in Marietta or at "the pit." Any other junior high updates ?

The Marietta and Little Hocking game in Marietta should be a good game tonight
