My bad on the Minford score....it was
Minford 40
Williamsburg 35

I didn't see that I had left the score off until now. I live in Lynchburg so I didn't get home till 12:30 this morning.

This was a very good game. Williamsburg played without their best guard (vacation in Hawaii) but both teams will win a lot of games. Both teams are very well coached and when you have a player like Kendra Justice well.. sometimes you just give her the ball and let her do her thing.

SOC ends the day 1-3, with the Pirates getting the lone victory. Western, New Boston, South Webster were the losses. Overall the SOC was 3-3 in the Classic.

i am suprised by minford and wheelersburg scores; minford must not be as good as i thought and the burg must be a whole lot better than i thought

Huntington Ross struggled against Burg last night. Burg is a very small team but they are extremely fast and athletic. Will give a lot of teams a hard game this year.

Basing your assessment of Minford on the score of their game might be a mistake. Their opponent is probably going to be one of the better D4 teams in the Southwest district this year.

I just want to say congrats to Westerns Morgan Ross. Not only did she record 17 points, but she also had 14 steals which ties he for the 5th most steals in a game in OHSAA girls basketball history. Overall in the record book this would put her in a tie for 17th, due to ties at higher numbers.
