And just like prior to football, people are selling Meigs and Wellston short.

Wins in Bidwell probably wont be easy either.

I think Meigs is going to be in the mix for the league title. Vinton County and Alexander both learned last year that a win in bidwell is a tough task. It is going to be a fun season.

Meigs looked pretty good at the preview, especially Sheets and Musser. It is too bad Cody Bartrum chose not to play this season.

The Bartrum kids are solid basketball players. I hate to hear they are not playing.

The 9th grade Bartrum is playing. He was with the Varsity at the preview Saturday.

Why did those 2 kids from meigs leave? I don't really remember the hysell boy but the Blevins boy was a solid all around player and should've been play some decent minutes last year

Griffin Lutz
40 points
9 rebounds
5 steals
4 block shots

Lutz will be treat for the league to watch. He had 40 last night and didn't force shots. He will have a 50 point game

Athens needs to play that 6'6 kid. Looks like a raw talent. Athens has more than enough offense but needs to find some defense

They had plenty of offense because Lutz scored 40! Can he do that every game? I agree, better defense is in store - but turnovers were also an issue Tuesday night. Kind of inexcusable with three guards on the floor most of the game. The turnovers led to easy baskets - cut down on those - and the defense automatically improves.

I'm sure that was #11's best game ever. 37 points on 70% shooting. Ended his night with a big dunk. It felt like Athens had more than 15 turnovers.

Athens has a lot ofof talent, I think it will take a couple more games but they will win a lot of games once they get it all worked out.

I think Vinton County will beat Meigs, Alexander will beat Athens and Meigs will beat Alexander giving the outright title to the Vikings.

VC and Alex both return a bunch of experienced talent and are very tough to beat at home.
Lutz is outstanding, but won't have a lot of help. I still think he can get the Bulldogs near the top.
Dani you pretty much hit the nail on the head

Hey Bbbuckeyes with this years record so far for nesonville that makes your record 56-51 now over last 4 years. What direction is that now? Seems to me the buckeyes need to make some major changes in the offseason

With Alexander losing to Meigs Friday night, the Spartans, Marauders and Athens all have 3 league losses. Vinton County has two - but faces the Marauders on Tuesday. Athens and Alexander could very well end up playing for a share of the TVC-Ohio championship next Friday in the Alley. What a crazy season.

It seemed to me that the Spartans got too emotional after coming back from down 15 and getting the lead early in the fourth quarter. They fouled too much being too aggressive defending the ball handler. That allowed Meigs to get to the foul line and stay in the game.

The atmosphere was crazy with the fans going wild on both sides of the court. It was a fun game to watch, but hate that the Spartans came up short.

Go Alex.
