There were also a lot of games in Wellston this weekend with their tournament that had 16 teams in it.

The top four teams that finished were

4th Place - Athens

Some notes from the top four finishers in the tournament.

Wellston went undefeated and had wins against River Valley A (twice), Vinton County, Meigs A, Eastern Meigs, Clay and Logan B.
Logan B had wins against Nelsonville York, Logan A and Athens. They had losses to River Valley B, Rock Hill B and Wellston A.
Clay had wins against Eastern Meigs, South Gallia (twice), Meigs A and Athens. One loss to Wellston A.
Athens had wins against River Valley A, Rock Hill B and Meigs B. They had losses to Megis A, Logan B and Clay.

The Burg beat Green 13-1. Outstanding performance by Burg pitcher. Timely hitting and good base running turned the game in the 3rd inning. Very good game until 4th inning.

Burg/Green was an excellent game for four innings. Then the experience Burgs program has in high pressure games showed and Burg busted through.
Hats off to the Burg pitcher for her performance.

Greens pitcher/leadoff hitter suffered a ACL sprain three weeks ago. Her use has been limited last couple weeks. She came bank strong for the most part last night against Burg. Look for the Bobcats to rebound this season.

Oak Hill tied Rock Hill 8th tonight.
OH was leading 4-1 in the 6th and gave up 3 runs due to a couple of errors. RH has a few big hitters.
