Beallsville has an 8-3 record but is probably the seventh best team in this sectional. They load up on bad teams like Paden City and Valley who are horrible. They did manage to nip Barnsville in their crackerbox early in the year when they weren't playing well. In the next two weeks they will likely lose five games but will probably beat st. Johns twice in that time and will go to the draw with a 10-8 record. If you were picking the seeding of this sectional based on the actual order of how the teams SHOULD be ranked it would go as follows:
1. Rosecrans-AP #1 and 30 points better then anyone else here at least.
2. River-having a good season
3. Bridgeport-Not sure I'd put them this high but for now I will
4. Caldwell-Much improved, has beaten River (and lost a close one with them), beaten Barnsville, beaten Central by 30 twice and throttled Beallsville. Still have winnable games with Beallsville, Wood County, and Frontier. Also play Trail at home and Shennandoah.
5. Frontier-Two nice players. Improving
6. Beallsville-Can't play the sectional at home
7. Shadyside-less wins then cental but will get the respect vote.
8. St. Johns Central-Plain and simple a bad team.

Re: PVC Schedules, Results, and Standings 2010-11
River has played Beallsville and Caldwell. Even though Caldwell seems to be a tougher matchup for the Pilots, I've seen all the games and (though Caldwell did beat Beallsville), the Blue Devils have more basketball talent. Caldwell has more athletes.
B-port is the 3rd best team in this sectional, but also plays in the same weak league as Beallsville. River Valley League or something to that effect. Bunch of poor WV teams belong to it. I've knocked the PVC for being down overall, but the River Valley or whatever its' called is absolutely horrible.

1224pointman,
The River Valley League is just for FOOTBALL. Heard one of Beallsville's best players (and leading scorer) has left the team.
haven't heard how the Devils made out tonight.

Caldwell @ Beallsville still on for tonight. First meeting the Redskins won 77-60. Will be tough to win on that tiny court though.

Fort Frye clinches PVC with a 16 point victory over Frontier.Frontier has talent they just need use it better they have 3 guys that can score inside.Fort Frye played decent and Garrett played a great game getting Burnoni in foul trouble.Shon Smith played a good game and knocked down some big shots when the Fort struggled early.Fick is a great player and a true athlete.Jefferson had 14 all in 2nd half.

River 53
Buckeye Trail 37
Ramsier 19; Wax 16 for the Pilots, who got great contributions on defense, the boards and overall hustle from all 8 players that saw action tonight at Old Washington. Tucker Brown's interior defense on Larrick, and at times Watson, while giving away 7-8 inches and 40 lbs. was awesome.
River now 10-5 with Shenandoah coming to R.L. Potts on Fri. nite. Pilots also host Beallsville on Sat. night in a make-up game.
surfsider: Beallsville plays alot of the same schools in basketball that they do in their football league. That's why I mentioned the conference. ie: Valley, Paden City, Bridgeport, Cameron, etc.

Re: PVC Schedules, Results, and Standings 2010-11
caldwell led 50-31 three minutes into the third when it got interesting. tolzda calls a timeout an gets t'd up twice, rather then be ejected refs decide to change the second one to a bench T (assuming on a player because bench should still go on head coach). they then dont charge him with a timeout because he was using it to challenge a call. after that point the foul total as 15-2 in favor of the blue devils, several redskins foul out or finish with 4 an beallsville wins it 91-77. that court is a joke, anywhere else an thats a 20 pt win for caldwell like the first time they played.
