Burt Builders Invite 12/11 at Warren

Post by Auburntgrfan »

Can we get on to a more productive road?????????
Next Friday the 20th Burt Builders Invitational will be held at Warren.
This is a ten team Olympic Pool Tournament.
The teams will include:
Warren
Meigs
Waterford
Belpre
Maysville
Meadowbrook
PHS "B"
RiverValley
Gallia Academy
Caldwell? Not Sure on this one.
So who should shake out as the top team? I am thinking Gallia maybe based on last years team, Meadowbrook or Caldwell, Warren. Lets get some positive things going here. Can the Warriors make a run at winning this? Any of those four could be in the finals. Are any of the other teams capable of making it a tighter race? Don't know much about them other than Belpre and Waterford usually have very competative individuals but not enough numbers to push for team titles. What about this years Meigs team, they were getting better as the season went on last season and had solid numbers.

Caldwell is not in the tournament this year, Jackson is in it. Warren will have a tough road for this tournament. They will be giving up 4 forfeits in this one.

Thanks for the update. I was told today that Warren would be missing 275, 135, 140 & 152 for this weekend.
However Hendrix will be back after this weekend?
So the Warriors gonna have to Pin to Win.

So are the Warriors only missing three classes? If so even better. Have to work Saturday but may be able to make the finals. Hope to see the Warriors in there fighting for a top spot.

Got there for finals. PHS "B" was a no-show. RV & Waterford had some missing for ACT's so they combined to make it an 8 team olympic pool. Warren & Gallia won their pools. Maysville & Jackson were 2nd and wrestled for 3rd/4th. With Maysville finishing 3rd.
Saw the finals and some good match-ups. 130 Ben Ekelman (W) lost a heart-breaker in the last 3 or 4 seconds on a reversal, a very even match. 145? Austin Antill (W) won a hard fought match after finding himself on his back and in a hole early. 171 Dustin Harlow (W) lost to Taylor??? who was MVW of the tournament. Gallia had a 215 all day but he did not wrestle Rohr, missed the 103/112/119 matches. Congrats to the Blue Devils and the Warriors. :-D
Was told that there was a great amount of bloody noses today.

Huh? If they were second, why did they wrestle for 3rd and 4th.

Probably because they were 2nd in thier respective pools therefore the 1st in each pool would wrestle for 1st and 2nd and the 2nd in each pool would wrestle for 3rd and 4th.
