Congrats to Coach Saunders and the Rebels on the win. Didn't take long for the Rebels to get their first TVC win. The Rebels may surprise a few people this year including myself in the TVC. How was the crowd last night?

That was one of the best high school basketball games I have seen in a long time. South Gallia came out on fire and got up by double digits, then kind of cooled down. But that late run by the Rebels just sealed the deal.

There was a pretty good crowd. It gets loud in that new gym.

That it does. If the Rebels could get a good student section in the bleachers behind the basket it would be a very hard place to play.

You guys have a pretty good team and your kids played hard and deserved the victory. But your best weapon was those three officials, you need to give them most of the credit.I'm anxious to see what the rematch in Belpre brings in January.

I know the credit for this win needs to go to the appropriate place which without a doubt would be the SG Rebels Basketball team. Boys played hard and in the end I believe that the best team walked away with the win. In having said that I also agree that the refs did make a few calls that could/should have went the other way however there were also several incidents in which calls should have been made against Belpre. When putting the entire package together I still believe that the best team on the court lastnight walked away with the win.
Looking forward to the travel to Belpre because regardless of the outcome I believe that just like lastnight we will see an amazing game against two very talented and deserving ball teams.

Junior High plays there Monday night. They beat Miller last night in Belpre. 7th grade won 56-39 and 8th grade won 46-37.Going to be another long road trip on Monday, hopefully the ride home will be shorter this time.
