Athens started 5 seniors who will battle all year long. They have a nice group and will come together in January. Nelsonville-York is a very young team with 6 juniors who lead the way followed by 14 freshman and sophomores.

We hope to have our 189 a nice freshman back in Jan. And we could have a 103 if the weight comes off. Your right 20 kids and still missing weights it is a shame. Athens must have 30 kids out. They have great numbers.

As for Athens, that's great for them to have 30 kids. When was the last time a team in SE Ohio had a FULL varsity and FULL jv team? Over 20 years, I bet.

Washington C.H., Miami Trace and Clinton Massie all get together next Wed. with our J.H. wrestling at the same time also for a Tri. I love good duals.

Yes it was a very good crowd. We have had great duals with Athens over the past few years. Just like WCH and Trace it is a competetive mood all the way around.

Great win for the Buckeyes! I would have hated for NY to lose this close of a match and have the difference being the weight classes NY had to forfeit for not having anyone in them. Thats where size of a school makes a huge difference.
