Re: Anyone on here do any Fox hunting?
I just bagged my first grey fox of the year last night! I set up in the same spot on top of a hill as I did last year and 5 minutes after playing the tape I heard crunches. I turned on the light and a big grey was running on the same tracks from the one that I killed a year ago did. I stopped his tracks at about 15 yards away. It just seems crazy that a year later another grey fox would come in the same identical way as the one from last year did.

Never hunted the 4 legged type, but I would enjoy learning how to.
I used to love hunting the 2 legged type, but now, my wife would probably have something to say about that.

To hunt grey fox you do not really have to learn much. If you know how to insert a grey fox pup in distress tape in a tape player and press play, that part of knowing what to do is behind you. Thy only thing else you need to learn how to do is turn on a light, point a gun at the fox and then shoot It is not complicated at all to do it that way. Oh and you should use a red light too, they act like they do not even know you are shining it but do not shine to separate lights on them because as soon as you hit them with a different light they are gone.Space Cowboy wrote:OZZIEOHIO wrote:IM lost are we talking about

I went out last night and hit a few spots but had no luck, we went kinda early though around 6:30. Never been that early before but I thought I would try it and see.
