Alexander by 4...Meigs is better than people think, and Alex has a few nice players, but no bench at all.

Meigs as well is very limited on the bench, some kids got minutes but not really effective, outside scoring looks to be a problem, only Bolen being the real threat to shoot a jumper beyond 6 feet?

wango, meigs also has no bench at all but they do have a pretty solid starting five. this should be a great matchup.

I have seen alex play but not Meigs. Alex has size but they are soft. Meigs seems to be a pretty tough team...I'm gonna go with Meigs by 2 or 3

Meigs wins by 8. Inside scoring and solid defense. They are not going to press and score 10 points off of it. but they will play good inside defense and force Alex to shoot outside.

Gotta go with my Marauders in this one. Boyer, Stewart and Smith from the starting five can all knock down 3's with no problems...just playing conservative right now. Mattox, Robinson, and Davis off the bench can go from the 3-pt range as well. Meigs has confidence and momentum on their side rolling into Albany tonight and I hope for the boys they keep the drive alive...they deserve it. Smith and Wells are big and strong underneath and should be able to dominate defensively. Smith is coming off a double-double from both Friday and Saturday night and Wells had a double-double Saturday night as well. Boyer is getting better each game running the point. He's learning the pace of the game and is very quick. Best of luck for a safe game to Alex and Meigs!!

3 of the Meigs Varsity bench is also getting 2 quarters of JV time and dominating the JV level.expert witness wrote:coach k, i predict alex by 7. meigs will struggle with the 2-3 zone and bench depth of course.

Interesting match-up. Both teams have their strengths. I believe it could be a tight one with the winner by only a bucket or two.

coach k, thats good news. i hope they continue to work and get better so they can contribute as seniors. It was a good idea to give them playing time at the JV level.
Re: 12-14 Meigs @ Alexander
Yeah it is great for them, benefits everyone. The bottom line is that everyone that plays has the love for the game of basketball. Doesn't matter if the playing time is at the JV level or Varsity level. They are at least getting to play what they love playing. I myself would go ahead and play 3 quarters of JV and then have 2 available for Varsity. Because it's very unlikely they will even get 2 quarters of Varsity time. I really do think that a few are capable of stepping in at Varsity level if given the chance.expert witness wrote:coach k, thats good news. i hope they continue to work and get better so they can contribute as seniors.
