Steelers fan starting in '74 because my brother and uncle loved the Bungles. That was a good move on my part(4 super bowls in 6 years) . My Dad seemed to lose interest in the Bengals after they got rid of his favorite player, Virgil Carter. Switched over to Browns AFTER Modell left and have been taking a beating ever since. Remember watching the Buckeyes as a lad on PBS channel 42 on Sunday mornings in the early 70's. Loved Woody but also liked Bo and got used to disappointment come new years day.
Was a Reds fan from birth until Rose was traded. Never gave a crap for the game after that. Celtics were the only team on TV when I was growing up but never really followed any team after Bird retired.
My dad being in the Navy we lived in the south in the 70,s . Dad started rooting for the Dolphins when they first came into the league and I started in the mid 70,s , Don Shula , Csonka, Kick, Morris ,Warfield and Earl Morrel /Bob Griese . Simply the best team ever!
Not to mention the NO Name Defense Jake Scott, Nick Bonticonti,Vern Den'Herder and Dick Anderson.
Wow what memories!
Indians-Been rooting for them since before little league.
I also like the Reds but was turn away from them when they traded Tony Perez
Cowboys-Lifetime fan of this team too. My dad who did not have a favorite team always laughed about me crying after watching my first Dallas game. They got beat.
L.A.LAkers-Mom went to school with Jerry West so I have heard about them since I was really young/
L.A.Kings-Was a big time Marcel Dionne fan even though it was reading about him and the Kings in the old citizen journal paper out of Columbus.
Been a fan of the Braves since I've start playing baseball-Chipper Jones has always and will be my fav player.
Michigan fan since 96" first fitted hat was them so I was really hooked when they won the title the next year when I was 10. And Marshall since this is HERD country.
Pro football since following Michigan and Brandy lead me into the Pats. However, one of my early superbowl memories is watching Green Bay play the Pats in superbowl XXXI (97) and cheering for the Pats.
And I like Kobe but not until after the hole rape thing, don't know why.
