I do not need to PM - I will just do it here.

One of the things that has upset me is that we no longer have a meeting of coaches before the SEOAL meet. Personally, whatever the book suggests is fine with me. But, there will be more thoughts on that from the other coaches. Maybe we need to get a note to ALL SEOAL coaches to be in attendance at the next SEOTCA meeting in January and we can talk about it then. When we had only 6 schools we scored it 10 - 8 - 6 - 4 - 2 - 1 and scored five relays, thus I would have no problem scoring 7 individuals and six teams in the relays. But, I am only one vote.

SO, with that being said I am calling on ALL SEOAL coaches - boys and girls - to attend the next SEOTCA meeting in Jackson - whenever that may be!

While we are at it are there any SE Ohio coaches who feel comfortable enough to speak at our SEOTCA clinic over Presidents Day weekend? We are wanting to get the clinic started up again and we need speakers!!!!!!!!

Also, at the next meeting we will be voting on the officers of the SEOTCA and the more in attendance the merrier. Remember, that we want the President and Treasurer to be from the very same school because of signing checks and because of the President being in charge of getting info out through snail mail as well as email.

Also, any suggestions or thoughts that need to be brought to the attention of the OATCCC needs to be brought up because we have our meeting BEFORE the start of the clinic on Thursday, January 27th.

I attended the USTFCCCA Convention in San Antonio, Texas a few weeks ago and it may very well have been the best clinic I have attended in a long time. The coaches from UTEP, Texas A&M, Baylor, and the high school coaches sessions were outstanding! It will be there again next year and is well worth the trip. I will be going. The coach from UTEP discussed the Anatomy of Sprinting and was as informative as any session I have ever attended. I took 14 pages of notes from his presentation. Clyde Hart from Baylor has forgotten more in one day than I ever knew about the 400 and Vince Anderson from A&M was unbelievable in his discussion of the 4x100. They gave us a notebook and i had to buy another one. It was a great convention.

At the seoal meeting, The ad's decided that there would be no triple jump at this years meet.

My vote is for scoring 6 10-8-6-4-2-1 but I can live with 7.
and doing the same for relays. There were very few events that all 8 schools ran 2 athletes.

The issue that I am having is how many athletes do you take to the finals if you score 6. Do you fill up all 8 lanes, do you have one more athlete than scoring places like the state meet. This year they will be having 9 in the finals.

I will be at the meeting and will have a survey for the seoal coaches. I think the AD is going to go with the coaches wishes but I am not sure.

There will be lots of opinions and you know what is said about opinions! The coaches used to organize and administer the SEOAL meet. The AD's wanted nothing to do with it. On the Sunday evening previous we met with two of the officials and we seeded and set up the procedures. The host school had to type up the program with the format and get the workers. The AD's did only a couple of things: hire the officials and collect at the gate.

By the way we will attend your meet on April22nd or 23rd whichever the date is. Just send some info!
