Game wasn't near as close as the score says. It was over quickly. Jackson was up 3-0 after 1, 6-0 after 3 and up 13-2 at one point.

3 days rest after 76+ pitches.

There is a difference (especially as the season goes on) between what is allowed and what a player can do.

Three days is not a great deal of rest for what could be anywhere from 76-125 pitches.

I like this rule, but practically speaking if you throw 90 and come back in 3 days you are asking for trouble. Particularly if this is a common theme all the way through the season.
