the kid is a nice player, but OU? and being to good to play at Shawnee?
Lets get real...
The Tyler Morgan kid from Western Brown put up better numbers against better competition at the High School Division 1 level and he is playing at Shawnee, and in my opinion was much better than Blevins. Blevins is no where near the players copas, cluxton, or either of the beuclers were and they went to Rio Grande (same league as shawnee, and RJ went to Taylor (NAIA) and Cluxton played at NKU. If you remember Brock Pistole, he was shorter than Blevins at 6'4", but he dominated the SHL and he couldn't cut it at Shawnee. He is a nice player for around here and im not knocking him but you also have to consider the talent he is going up against. The SHL is also considerably down from where it has been in the past. Besides Peebles, Manchester and Ripley there really aren't a lot of teams worth mentioning. The only other notable big men are chris cox and maybe joe michael, who would have to be 3 men at the college level.
Blevins would have to play a 3 at OU, he isnt quick enough, strong enough, nor does he shoot it well enough. I think Shawnee would be a HUGE accomplishment if Blevins could play there. From what I'm hearing Southern State has shown the most interest and he's not getting a ton of other looks if any.
Once again a very nice player and i'm not knocking him but I strongly disagree...
