SVC play wrapped up tonight.

Unioto's Morgan Gumm hit a driving layup with 7 seconds left to lift Unioto over Adena, 54-52 to wrap up the league title. Big shots were hit throughout the 4th, as Adena's Natalie Cooper hit 2 big 3's and Michelle Ackley also knocked down 2 in the 4th, including one with just under 20 seconds left. Unioto's Janae Driggs buried 2 clutch 3's as well. Maddie Davis really picked up Unioto with a double-double, while Jenny Grigsby carried the Lady Warriors much of the night.

In other games; Piketon beats Zane Trace, 42-39. ZT played without Erin Dailey and despite 22 pts from Sierra Sigman, it wasn't enough, as Piketon gets the big W going into the tournament.

Sophie McCorkle's Double-Double led Southeastern's 50-38 win over Huntington

Abbie Walls goes off for 34 pts(including 14-14 FT's) to lead Paint Valley in their 56-52 win over Westfall.

Piketon also played without senior center Tori Pelphrey as well who was injured in Mondays game. ZT led by 6 with about a minute to play and a bucket, steal and bucket brought the Streaks back.

Updated to feature tournament results thus far.

The league is currently 4-1 in the tournament and PV has won their 2nd straight sectional championship.

6(!!) league teams play for District berths on Saturday at 3 different locations. Good luck to all SVC teams in the tournament.

Ouch..I think ZT and PV are the only teams left. I think the league was VERY average this year and not sure it will be much stronger next year. Adena will easily be cream of crop next year. I know Piketon returns some good kids but sure would like to see them upgrade their schedule next year.
