Re: 2011 Jackson ironmen
Well I'm ready for another two headed monster in the backfield in Osborne and Ervin all they have been doing is working out running track and working with a speed and agility trainer should be another strong showing for the ironmen if they can replace the o and d line.
Re: 2011 Jackson ironmen
About a five headed monster!!!
Don't forget Landrum, McCorkle, and Barr.
McCorkle was really coming on till he got hurt last year.
Landrum is always a threat.
Barr will probably come in and out on offense and has always been a solid fullback over the years.
D will be strong with a lot of speed for disruption and solid tackeling. Offense will be OK especially with the talent in the running stables to confuse the defense.

What do y'all think about possibly moving the Jackson wellston game to wellston after they build there new stadium it would be nice to hand them there first lose there and it would be good national coverage cause I'm pretty sure espn is gonna have there fist home game aired on epsn rise up.
Re: 2011 Jackson ironmen
I'm really interested to see how the O-line turns out. I've read this whole thread and know that many of you aren't all that concerned, but as good as Arthur and Irvin were last year, the dominant part of the team was the O-line. I would think that losing some of the major players off that line would be more of a concern than it seems to be. Even if you have good players coming in, the line still needs to gel together to have the kind of season that many here are predicting.

Re: 2011 Jackson ironmen
That's the key to the entire season, in my opinion. I think Jackson has plenty of talent at the skill positions, and I think the defense should be very good again this season. If the offensive line turns out to be solid, the Ironmen will be very tough to beat. The schedule is tough, especially with non-league games against Ironton and St. Charles, but expectations are certainly high for the defending SEOAL champs.GAHS83 wrote:I'm really interested to see how the O-line turns out.
By the way, congratulations to Bubba and Eric Landrum, who will both be continuing their football careers at Otterbein next Fall.

I had the pleasure of training Mccorkel, before last season. He is a hard worker and a great young man. I expect big things from him in this year and next.camnott wrote:About a five headed monster!!!

seems like the wellston rockets is the only game you ironman are worried about huthinson will come ready to play high school football in august and the rockets will prove to be the better team.
