2011 Jackson ironmen
Re: 2011 Jackson ironmen
I was pleased with what I saw. You can't tell too much because of the split squads, so next week against Meigs will be a much better indicator. Skill players look good, line seems to have the potential that I thought they had, and the defense will be VERY fast and aggressive.

Thank god they got the update don't I was freaking out a little. Just a little over to weeks till we get to see and hear the shoulder pads poping and I seriously can't wait. Is anybody going to the next scrimmage?
Re: 2011 Jackson ironmen
I'll definitely be at the scrimmage on Saturday. I'll probably give a detailed break down of how things went for anyone that can't make it.
I'm absolutely going crazy waiting on Saturday to get here!

That scrimmage looked pretty good Austin Osborne is a monster did anybody see him unload on that safety haha priceless hope to see a lot more of that this year. Overall I thought they looked pretty good still a couple of bugs to work out but they seam to be coming together all right. Just 12 days till we get to see some ironmen football.
Who is going to the scrimmage Friday @ wheelersburg?

Re: 2011 Jackson ironmen
I'm pretty optimistic about the season after tonight. Obviously the non-conference schedule is difficult, and the SEOAL should be pretty balanced this season, but I think this team has the potential to win all of its games.
Drew Ervin was unbelievable tonight against Wheelersburg. I feel like he's gonna have an amazing season. When you add in Austin Osborne and Morgan Landrum, there's a three-headed monster on the ground that not many teams in this area, if any, can match. Osborne has also looked very good throwing the ball, especially to McNelly, who appears to have taken his game to another level. The O-Line is the key to success though. If they're good, the offense will be tough for anyone to stop.
The defense, as I said in the Jackson/Burg thread is very fast and aggressive. They haven't been perfect by any means, but they seem to have the potential to be one of the better Jackson defenses we have seen in quite a while. Coach Hall has been playing a lot of different guys on both sides of the ball, and that depth will be beneficial throughout the season. We're gonna need all of those guys who have been getting playing time to contribute in one way or another this season. If the Ironmen can stay relatively healthy, and continue to improve, this is going to be a memorable season.
Gotta be ready to play four quarters next Saturday night. Motivation should not be a problem. Time for payback.
