If your school does not offer a middle school softball team, can you play for another school?

Rock Hill will have a team. If u have coaches numbers please pm me. I'm starting to get a schedule together. I know in the Jr. High league, u r suppose to be from the same school. We will be playing in the jr. high league but we want to schedule more games also.

South Point had a team last year so I think it will be a go again this year as well.
Re: JR. HIGH SOFTBALL
I think some of the scioto county schools in the past have taken other girls if their school didn't have enough for a team. I really don't think it should matter just let the kids play. What about kids that go to a private christian school they should be allowed on the team form their town. JMHO
Re: JR. HIGH SOFTBALL
I understand. But I know in the Jr. High League we asked last year about pulling a couple of girls because we only had 9 and they had to be from the same school. Just saying what was told in the past. I guess if you are scheduling outside of jr. high league then that would be fine, I'm not sure. I'm scheduling games outside of Jr. high league so pm me with your contact infor.

Re: JR. HIGH SOFTBALL
as far the jr high league league and teams having players from other schools on their roster -- When the league 1st started that was allowed (in some instances it allowed Team A to have enough players to compete and in a different case allowed School B to field two teams instead of having a roster of 18 , which is no good at all) but the league administrators caught some much grief from a small vocal minority that it was easier to just say all your kids need to be from your own school.
A 2nd part of the rationale was that the league was developed to strengthen the HS teams of the teams that put forth the effort to field the jr high teams . By making the rule the way it is now it encouarages each jr high to have their own team so that team X isn't putting out the effort to make team Z's HS team better. MD

If one wanted to start a team at their school, who would we contact about information regarding the middleschool league?
Re: JR. HIGH SOFTBALL
you will get more information when they schedule their meeting. It is usually posted on this site. Also, there are a lot of teams not involved with the middle school league that want to schedule games. I know Greenup Co. , Rock Hill, will schedule games and possibly CG, SP and Ironton. Not sure if all these teams are playing in the middle school league, but I'm sure they would schedule games outside the league. Let me know if you get a team together and I will get u on my schedule. Just pm me your name and number.
