I know Chilli still has a game tonight against Hillsboro but I figured I would get this topic up since Marietta does not have another game until this one.

Marietta is gonna have to play like they did against Warren or better to pull this one out. The Cavs are loaded with raw talent, Ragland is the real deal and London is great player. Kriechbaum and Riley are gonna have to be stroking in this one, while Williams and Sewell are gonna have to shut down the lane as much as possible. Grosel needs to keep playing his great defense, and take it to the hole and try to stay out of foul trouble. It will also help if the Sutton Psychos come out in full force and try to get in the Cavs head like they did against Warren.

It is gonna be a tough game from Marietta, they need to come out hitting on all cylinders. They can't afford to start off sluggish against the Cavs or it could be game over early.

Wishing Marietta luck ( because my Trojans need someone to upset Chillicothe to have a shot at the league title), but it will be a tall order to hang with the Cavs.

You have got to get London to put the ball on the floor, dribbling is not his forte. I just hope the Refs watch his left hand, it tends to push off a little. When he is outside the paint and tries to take the ball to the hole any quick guard can pluck the ball away, and a good cherry picker has an easy layup. The little point guard reminds me of Fort Fryes Shon Smith. Grosel playing his tight soccer style D can cause the 10' Jumper to change to a drive and jumpstop 5' shot or a pass. So, now I see the lane full, watch for the kickout to #32. Lazy D has no place in this game. PATIENCE, and a limited Number of touches wins the game for Marietta. The three unless wideopen, has little value in this game.

If you honestly think the three means nothing for Marietta then you have never seen them play a game. If not for Kriech hitting all those threes against Warren, Marietta would not have been in that game.

He usually hits his on a wide open look, which if you take the time to read what was written , wide open and burried is the only way I would use the three. I also mention patience. If he misses, that is a rebound you may not get. Limiting the number of times Chilli handles the ball is the key.

Hey play how you want. I'm not coaching. I'm guessing you probably arn't either. Might be that there is someone reading this that has the same idea. Warren had a coach once that had very little height. He he only had three guys that were 6'5" or better. (I'm being sarcastic) Those boys had to make 5 to 6 passes before they were allowed to shoot the ball. Why? It cuts down on turnovers in the first quarter. Plain and simple, it gets the mind set right. BTW I hated to watch those first 6 passes.
I do have to admit, it works. (that tasted bad even to type). There is nothing wrong with being patient. I don't care how many three point shooters you have. In my opinion, (which at this point is worth nill) don't let them have the ball. They can't shoot it and score if you have it.

Chillicothe will absolutely stomp Marietta. The game will be over by the end of the 1st. Im calling Chilli by 35 points.

I know what you're talking about. Marietta plays a bit of stall ball so hopefully that keeps them close.
But for us to have a chance Kreich, Wes, and Timmy need to hit 3's.

The Cavs are the class of the SEOAL and should go undefeated in league play. The Tigers may hang with them for the 1st half but that will be about all they can do. I call it Cavs by 20.

Chillicothe was definitely good and outplayed Marietta but they were not as good as I had heard. Ragland was shut down for the most part. Malik was not as impressive as I previously thought. Both of them need a serious weight program to get bigger.

Marietta is always a tough out for the Cavs down on the river. Been that way for years and will continue. Ragland playing with a heavy heart this week as his grandpa (Rev Charlie Ragland) passed away. He is seeing defenses that will try and take him away. Good news is balanced scoring for the second game in a row. More importantly the D shuts down the Tigers. Any road win is a good win.

Time to move on to face Portsmouth in a huge battle back down on the river Tuesday. Cavs are moving in the right direction. Never want to peak to soon.
