Re: RIPLEY@PEEBLES?
I've only seen Ripley play once this year, but from what I saw I believe there chances of a gold ball are slim. I.M.O. 17-3 at best with 2 league losses, both coming from Adams County.

I think this game could come down to how well Daniels can rebound and control the paint. If he gets in foul trouble early, i think Ripley will take advantage. My pick= Indians by 7.

Daniels averages 5.9 rebounds per game
For Ripley, Perkins averages 7.1, Washington 6.6. We'll see how that battle goes.

Re: RIPLEY@PEEBLES?
Peebles has several boys who can rebound and as a team average more rebounds per game than Ripley, 33.3 to 31.2.
Re: RIPLEY@PEEBLES?
I am thinking that Peebles's guards better keep a close eye on Ripley's guards (knocking down 12 treys against Whiteoak last night)and they could be out of position to rebound. My feeling is Daniels better get more than his average.I think he will!

Jayhawks,
From what I gather the Mitchell boy is their deep range threat with over 50 treys on the year at like 41%,very good. Yes I agree with your comment on the guard play on offense/defense, however that could be the case and apply to both teams as our boys can shoot also. And yes I am hoping Daniels has a good game and I think he is capable and will.

Our boys can shoot it but Ripley guards the perimeter well.Justice and Countryman can usually can take guards off the dribble but Ripley defends guards well.I hope we hit the long range shots.

Jayhawks,
I know we will have to play our 'A' game to win this one, and yes we need to shoot it well, and if Tyler or Andy one can get hot to go along with Blake (obviously) that would be great. One guy can't beat a good team as we learned from our first game with Manchester. Good team ball in this league usually equals a 'W'

Re: RIPLEY@PEEBLES?
Last year's game was one heck of a battle. Peebles won with a last second shot by Justice, Ripley led most of the game. Justice had 4 fouls going into the fourth quarter, how we didn't get him to foul out is beyond me. Rayve Williams did a fairly good job of guarding him, and he's back this year. Frankly, this Ripley team is stronger than last year's in every way. The outcome is in no way certain, but if both teams bring their A game this will be one that will be talked about for years. I have no prediction other than one intense evening.peeblesfan97 wrote:Jayhawks,

Re: RIPLEY@PEEBLES?
Key to this game will be Jordan Mitchell. He has to get going for Ripley to win. also Williams needs to cut down on his turnovers. Also Washington needs to hit the boards. Justice will be fantastic for phs, this we know. If Ripley contains countryman, they with. I say rip-town 68 phs 62

Jordan is Tracy's nephew. Jimmy Mitchell is his father.
