South Webster 61
Burg 51

Burg just couldn't buy a basket in the 2nd half. Way to many drives to the basket left short and they were out rebounded horribly by Webster. Congrats to the Jeeps. They were hot and the Burg wasn't.

I have no idea on shooting %, but just looking at home records South Webster is tied for 3rd in the SOC.
Oak Hill 6-0
Burg 7-1 (only home loss to Chesapeake)
Valley 5-2
S.W. 5-2
Shooting good at home is great, but winning at home is more important.
That's tied for second, third would be open and the next place would be fourth!

Great Game by the Jeeps! Austin Loop was very, very good tonight. 23 points and created a lot of them on his own---played without fear! David Sutton came to play tonight. He did a great job on defense and on the boards. Joshua Wright was everywhere and seemed to get every rebound at times! Joshua plays so hard every night and continues to play within his role (which is getting bigger!). Connor Scott had 19 and 14 in the second half---- truly is fun to watch in the open court. Brandon Malone hit a big 3 early and Ashton Miller brought his usual energy and defensive tenacity! Jensen Dyer contributed as well and is getting closer to a varsity caliber center----so much progression since last year!

Way to Go JEEPS!

One last word: I am so proud of our coaching staff----great gameplan---great composure----acted like the veteran staff. You represent our community very well!

If the Jeeps shoot the ball like they did tonight they will beat Oak Hill by double digits.

'Burg 1 of 7 from 3 point land and Webster 6 off 14 I think, that was the difference tonight. Good game to watch. Everything else was equal tonight.

That new math must have me confused. When I went to school it would be:
1. Oak Hill
2. Burg
3. Valley
3. S.Webster

Am I missing something?

Burg_grad_77 had it right. The Jeeps allowed the Burg to get one shot at offense for most of the night. They did a great job of keeping Stegman away from offensive rebounds. I know that last year Stegman killed them on the offensive end of the floor getting offensive rebounds and putting them back in.
I got to see this game. Drove in from to Houston to see it and tomorrow nights game. The Jeeps really played with poise and worked hard tonight. The Burg defense was tough most of the night. They are pesky and the Jeeps had to work for everything. The Jeeps were content letting them shot 3's early and the Burg couldn't hit them. But the key was that they blocked out well and didn't let Stegman get any garbage points inside. Don't know if the Burg struggled tonight - having not seen them in person - but they looked out of tempo most of the night. I had trouble picking up their gameplan. Credit South Webster for their defense. It was great. Much better than last year. That could have thrown the Burg off.
Wheelersburg needs a good outside threat. I didn't see one tonight. They may have one and he was off tonight, but South Webster did a great job keeping the ball away from Stegman and no one else stepped up for the Burg.
Really proud of the Jeeps effort tonight. The tourney is right around the corner and playing teams like the Burg does nothing but get them more prepared for the Div IV teams.
If Wheelersburg can get a solid 3 point threat to pull double teams away from Stegman they could be dangerous. Hope they can find someone before the tourney starts. Div III is brutal in this area!
Good Luck Burg.

Good call on that one joker. Oh, thats why you call yourself thejoker. You really meant that Webster was the better team and they did win by ten.
I know I'm a trash talker so let me have it. I'm a grown man and I can take the textual abuse.

Good job South Webster. They played like a team. Burg on the other hand I felt was on the selfishness side with the ball. Mcbee and Massie who are two of Burg's best shooters combined only took five shots and were open numerous times for the kick out. Poor decision making and no "team" effort.

Good Luck Burg.

Burg was very off "tempo" last night. They actually have outside threats, but for some reason they were not used or passed to I guess.

Great job Webster!

Congrats to Webster on the win Friday night against the Pirates. Webster played hard and smart for 4 quarters. Burg missed too many layups, close shots, outside shots and free throws. Webster was the better team on this night.
