Warren Local 2011

Post by Cap'n Scoop »

Warren Local returns a great nucleus to the diamond in 2011 and Shiela Coffman returns as the Head Coach. With the loss of Taylor Dolak and Randi Mckenna up the middle the Lady Warriors have a huge hole to fill but there are lots of girls ready to step up. WHS has 3 All-Seoal selections returning in Senior Staci Lauer and Juniors Hannah Zimmerman and Ally Spence. Warren returns all 3 pitchers in seniors Molly Powell and Lauer and junior Taylor Dennis. Zimmerman is easily the best catcher in the area. At First base will senior Devon Rowley and Junior Brandi Rogers. Sophomore Riley Benson returns at 3b. The outfield is intact with Senior Madison Stauffer in Center, Spence in Left and Lauer in Right.

2B and SS will be the Lady Warriors big question marks. Stauffer and Spence could step into these roles or maybe some JV players will step up. Or possibly some Freshman...there are a couple of outstanding ones expected to come out.

Let's hope for a warm and dry spring!

Freshman Lynch has the ability to add to this squad. Hopefully this coach will play the best players. Lynch deserved more minutes in basketball...hoping things are better this Spring for her. Murdock is a nice player too. Look for big things in the future for these two. Warren should have a good team this year. Cannot wait!!!

The Lady Warriors are working hard and the varsity should be very strong. Rain, rain go away!

Zanesville practices on their turf football field. WOW wouldn't that be nice. Their new school is amazing. Would hate to have new schools for our kids...sarcasm intended. It's bound to stop raining sometime!!! Keep working hard blue.

The Lady Warriors looked real good for the first time seeing live pitching this spring. A very solid lineup from the top to bottom and also some good sticks coming off the bench. The pitchers threw good too. It is going to be a fun season.

The Lady Warriors continue to pound the ball, taking two from Waterford by scores of 12-3 and 17-0.
