Today gets the field down to the final four who will compete Thursday for the chance to play for the district championship in the Convo. Looks like the best games so far were the 4/5 game at Adena with Logan Elm winning by 6, and the 3/6 game at Alex with Warren winning by 7. I'd love to see the Unioto/Jackson game today, but will be at the games in Alex. I'm rooting for the SEOAL to garner 3 of the 4 berths to Southeastern next Thursday, in spite of my feeling that it would be easier for Marietta to beat Unioto than to beat Jackson for a 3rd time to get to the Convo.

Sheridan 11 8 5 0 -- 24
Marietta 9 17 26 12 -- 64

Outstanding defense by Marietta through-out. Sheridan had trouble with fouls off the bat, and committed six in about the first 6 minutes, and they had to go to a zone. Sheridan's coach does an excellent job. Due to the fouls being "on the floor" by Sheridan and a very long trey by Mohler, and making some incredibly difficult short range shots by Mohler and Jenkins, Sheridan held the lead at 11-7. Marietta then went on a 9-0 run to lead 16-11, but Mohler hit two more treys, one from way out to tie it at 17. From there Marietta went on a 9-2 run to lead 26-19 at half.

Marietta came out after half and ran good offense but missed 2 bunnies, and then Sheridan made the first score of the 2nd half to cut it to 26-21 and I thought that was going to hurt the Tigers to miss those easy ones. BUT, the Tigers went on from there to finish the quarter on a 26-3 run, and that was pretty much the game after 3 qtrs.

Yes, I am. When I looked on wbex.com and saw 74-55. I was wondering where they got that. Yes I was at the game and 64-24 was the final.

Looks like all four district semi teams won their berths today by very convincing scores!
