2-8 Trimble @ Southern

well it wasnt hard to figure out what side the refs were on with 4 of trimble starters fouling out. and 7 offensive fouls called with 4 minutes to go in the game. plus the suprise of what was wrote on the side of the bus wasnt very respectful. and with fans telling trimble players they want to meet in the parking lot to fight after the game proves my point with being disrespecful.

I was at this game, questionable calls both ways. I saw calls that should've been made, both sides, and calls made that shouldn't have been made. Same old story. I don't usually comment on the refs as it's arbitrary. I've also heard (and witnessed) horrible refereeing @ Trimble. If you read other threads, you hear the same story at other schools as well.. Now I ask, maybe someone needs to turn in their game videos (and in this case, the cable channel that was there) to the OHSAA and let them decide if there's a need for ref cleansing.

Are ref's really biased? Only they and God knows, and they'll answer for it. Why is it that when a team gets beat they play the ref card? I have learned in my number of years that when someone continually cries about something, usually the ones crying the loudest are the worst offenders?

Does it matter that Trimble got cold for a bit? Southern played a good game. You got beat, The score was closer till the very end.

I've heard it said, a great team overcomes bad officiating. Just sayin'.

It sure wer nice to do some catchin up with them boys that reffed the game. Ain't seen some of them boys fer a while other than doin the games. I got to talkin to em this time and it were like a Racine homecoming. Them three boys wont cheat no one though if thats what yous a sayin

watched it on 15 and those refs need theur licesenes pulled dont usually complain about refs but this was horrible they have no buisness officiating. southern wasnt going to lose that game and they made sure of it. good job refs superb job on hosing the visiting team

Wat's wrong wit u people? Yur the biggest homers in the TVc and all u do is cry bout getting cheated. Jus cuz you cant get yur homers to do the away games dont mean u got cheated

The point is, if there's as much "bad reffing" going on as some claim, I'd think folks would get to the bottom of it, report it to the OHSAA, whatever means necessary, instead of whining on some webboard about it. You had cable TV carrrying it, send the video to the OHSAA.

I saw the game, Trimble played rough, and they got called on it. At times I thought I was watching soccer or football.

Now, if I recall my stats correctly, I read where Southern shot in the 40% range, Trimble in the high20's/low 30's? Southern hit more 3's Now that would tell me someone scored more points. I don't recall a lobsided total of fouls on the scoreboard either.

Bad refs are everywhere and Southern does not have a monopoly on them all. Not only in the TVC, both divisions, but everywhere. I have no dog in this fight, but it seems like the bad ref card is the first one played when one loses. There are just as many good ref's out there as the bad ones. The bad ones are just more well known, and make life harder for the good ones. That is just part of the game. You have to adapt to the officiating, as well as a full court press or any other game changes a Coach has to make during the game.

It is a hard job to say the least. I wouldn't want to do their job. You never can please everyone no matter what. I know I have done my fair share of trying to help the ref's call a game from my sideline seat. But they never seemed to want my professional help. LOL... It is just a game for the High School kids. Enjoy it and don't get mad. Life is too short.
