The field looked horrible yesterday. Instead of moving those games to away, why not play at Branch Rickey until the field is fixed?
Only problem is SSU's baseball team uses it.

I feel sorry for the players.....they have been told for 2 years now they would play on a new field and HERE we still are.........what gives??

Biggdowgg, The Trojans did play Monday evening. Game was called due to it getting dark ( which would not have happened if we were playing at home). Portsmouth was winning 6 (or more) to 2 ...was hard to see due to all the blankets I had piled on me...LOL It was freezing...ahhhhh Baseball season in southern Ohio. Good job Trojans in your first outing.

I must correct something from above about the schedule. The first HOME game that is scheduled now is Logan on 4-4-11. Game time is 5pm!

the original schedul has us playing Warren on that day, so are we not playing them now?

The track team hasn't been able to host a meet in 9 years. That's sad, and if you have noticed they still haven't started work on the new track. Will they have it for next year even?

Yeah that is very true, and invitational, normally has around 18 teams, which pay $100 each to enter. We used to host a small school meet for the local teams on a Friday, then a big division meet on Saturday, with teams traveling from Cincinnati, and Columbus to compete. That's over $3000, missed out on each year, plus lost admissions, and concession sales. PHS, often had 2 small meets as well, this is more concessions missed on, and a total of 4 meets the Trojans must travel to, and pay to enter if it is an invitational.

Also PHS, has had several fine track athletes during this span, that have not had the luxury of competing at home. It may seem stupid but there is a certain comfort level, an athlete has running, jumping or throwing at the same place they practice every day.
