Portsmouth finishes the season on the road with games at Logan and at Warren........I look for our kids to come out focused and ready to play.......they know what lies ahead the following week.........we have been playing outstanding basketball the second half of the season.......I would really like to see our kids finish with two wins and stay INJURY FREE!!

Win out and Portsmouth will finish alone in 2nd in the SEOAL, its best finish ever, and also post the best regular season since 1991.

GO TROJANS!!!

trojandave,,,the next two games will show what kind of character this team has built...Logan is not a easy place to win and Warren is going to be plenty ready after the heartbreak to Chilli...Coach has to keep the boys focused and sharp...Must have NO letdowns or repeats of the last few years come Sectional time!!!!!!!

The Portsmouth men beat Logan tonight 66-54. Not a pretty game for the Trojans, but it was a win. That's 10 in a row.
Another long bus ride to Warren tomorrow!

Congratulations to the Trojans on last night's win, and also to Logan for playing very hard on their senior night........Portsmouth played much better D in the second half to give them a cushion.......PHS was up 66-50 and then the Chieftains scored 2 baskets for the final margin........#11 on Logan had an outstanding shooting game, but the Trojans did a better job on him in the second half.

With the win over Logan, Portsmouth now has gone 16-0 the last 2 years vs. Logan, Jackson, Gallia Academy, and Marietta........the Trojans' 15th win marked the 36th time in school history that a Portsmouth boys basketball team won at least 15 games.

Portsmouth is 9-0 since Andrew Bendolph returned in early January.

PHS had 4 players in double figures, created 20 Logan turnovers to only 7 themselves, and outrebounded the Chieftains 30-23.

GO TROJANS!!
