The Chef was at the game and The Chef was at the Vinton County-Piketon football game back in the fall. Not much difference in amount of contact. Amount of equipment they had on was the major difference. At the end of each play or possession, players ended up laying on the ground or floor. Players having to be separated couple times. Not sure what you're alluding to, but if the announcers were saying it was rough, that was an understatement. In The Chef's opinion it was allowed to be too rough.
Basketball is nothing like it was when The Chef played back in the day. If you touched a player with the ball, it was a foul. You could position a little on rebounding but that was about it. The Chef isn't real sure what is a foul anymore. There were a couple scrambles for the ball where The Chef actually turned away to only turn back around to see a jump ball called.
The other part of it is the players are so big and fast now. When The Chef walks by the players down on the floor on the way to the refreshments its pretty amazing how big and strong and fast these kids are now. These kids nowadays are as big and strong as The Chef was at age 25 or older. The guys doing all the dribbling would have been centers back in the day. A 6'1-2" kid was a rebounder. Today a dribbler. A scrawny mop-haired kid from in the 1970s wouldn't stand a chance in today's game.

Chef:
The Mop reference had nothing to do with your hair, we called you that because that’s what we did to the floor with ya.
Did Rated R-edstreaks have any wardrobe malfunctions in this contest?

X: Easy there X. The Streaks have had their way with the Tanks for several years in a row now but The Chef can't brag for back in the day because The Chef's highlight reel is a couple old Polaroids and a spot on the team for the Piketon Lion's Club calendar with the hot pants uniforms on. If you think about it our old uniforms were R-Rated.
The Vinton game got an R-Rating due to its violent content not any adult situations.
