SHAWNEE SOCCER ASSOCIATION SPRING LEAGUE

The Shawnee Soccer Association Spring League will take place on Sundays from March 20 through April 17. Grades K-8 will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., while grades 9-12 will be held 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The cost is $10 per week

good to see ssu taking the lead with spring soccer play. fall league did pretty well and now with the addition of spring it allows more play time for more kids. both youth and high school school kids. thanks and keep up the support for a great game.

is there any instuction with this league? And is it just organized pick up? (Which isnt a bad thing)

Yes, and yes!

The players will be on different teams each week. As long as we have the numbers.

We plan on opening up with a warm-up drill with instruction, then place them on teams to scrimmage with instruction and conclude the session with a fun shooting drill which everyone loves to do.

Next Sunday will be the final Sunday for the Spring Academy. We have now worked with more than 50 players of all ages.
We will pick back up for the summer session on Tuesday June 14 for U-10, U-12, and U-14 from 7:00-8:30.
High School will begin Thursday June 16 from 7:00-8:30.

Thanks to all who participated in the first annual spring soccer academy at SSU. We worked with a total of 58 kids for this session.
We covered shooting techniques, defending 1v1 and team, goalkeeping, passing, and other aspects of the game all in game situations.
We will have it again next spring beginning March 18th for 5 weeks.
